I'd make the guy that stole his shoes favourite,to succeed him...............

His yearly salary is more than the entire prizemoney for the League of Ireland.Surely only in Ireland.
By:
Prizemoney for the league of Ireland......that's a good one.
By:
Whats a good one?
By:
Don't worry about him Punkha he's a bigoted fool. He hates football and the LOI espicially oh and by the way we're not as Irish as he is.
By:
I love football but like many know nothing about the loi..........thats why I was amused by the prizemoney bit.....didn't realise you lads got cash for winning.
By:
Sure why would ya you don't play the game up there, anyway now you do pillow case off mate and slide under the rock you came from.
By:
We play it ok but I feel your pain.

I honestly think people don't understand the game here, i think people believe want their pie and eat it. They want to dig up football pitches at midnight in Kerry, they want to run down the game and portray you as not being of the uber Irish like them. Then when they can't cheer on the national team an sing ole ole ole they ask how can performances like tonight really be? And asking why they can't go to the Euros and act like a complete morons for a week following the Irish team and then return home and run down the same game at every chance. I honestly don't understand these type people and don't understand why the national team is such a cause for a concern in a sport they hate.
The answer to the OP's question is no one, When he wants to go he'll go. No one even asked him about his salary 'again' this years at the FAI conference. |
By:
People just don't understand.......We have the same problem here in Meath as you loi lads......The hurling clubs train hard, have passionate supporters, low crowds and will never compete at a decent level.......It's not for the lack of effort........People will judge but they don't understand.
Supporting the national team is not an exclusive club and knocking people because they do not go to loi games is not the answer. |

We'll have 6k tomorrow for a live tv game tomorrow, hardly a low attendance level. No other club in any ther sport the country will get 6k at a game for a league match in 2012. Part of the problem is the likes of you, you go to see Chelsea FC that's your prerogative, but yet run down the sport at every chance you get, i honestly will never understand that. Matt Cooper going loo laa on twitter, never seen him at a football match in my life. The football family has always been a close nit dysfunctional family in Ireland, up against the establishment until 1988-90.
By:
Only 2 clubs get a half decent crowd.........6k is a huge crowd 3 times the norm but big days get people out.......The likes of me aint the problem and blaming other sports and barstoolers for shortcomings will not help......I am involved in greyhound racing so understand what you lads are going through.......it's tough but you got to try promote your sport. The bigger sports will always get the headlines.
By:
Don't try and rise me bby comparing football to the greyhounds, football is the most participated sport in Ireland you know you're annoying me tonight. The Loi have nothing to do with it, it's the FAI and the general attitude to football by some people esp towards the grass roots sport. The FAI have blown its chance during the boom allowing clubs to spend on big wages instead of investing in youth, or setting up a high standard youth set up among top clubs in various leagues. Without a proper league the Irish team will suffer long term and without a proper association Irish football will get worse.
By:
Of course soccer is the most participated sport in Ireland everyone loves a 5 a side or a kickabout..........Are you telling me the FAI is at fault for soccer clubs losing the run of themselves. As a professional sport you lads should have invested in youth at club level. You can't blame the fai for failure at club level.
By:
If you read what i'm saying i'm blaming them for not getting a proper youth structure in place !

I think we will have to take Sligoreds word that rocketfingers is from Sligo.
He spoke to him at an away soccer match in Slovakia and spotted him at sligo rovers matches in Ireland. |

Delaney reminds me of Al Capone
By:
Delaney is most definately out of his depth, and should get the road , with Trap, I may say. Has anyone ever heard of an employee giving a vote of confidence to his 'boss', well this is what happened when Delaney went on the Poland binge, where he lost his shoes, and should have lost his job.It would only happen in Ireland and is it any wonder that we are in the position of being bankrupt and patsies for the Eurocratzs.
