Play Dundalk in the semi on the weekend. Shels v Derry in the other semi.

Pats as short as 11/10 to win the lot with Paddy. Bwin best priced @2/1. You can take the 2/1 with Bwin, and have a saver on Dundalk to qualify from the semi (currently @11/4 with Paddy). Gives you 6/5 on Pats to win the cup outright if they qualify. They will be odds on in the outright market against Shels or Derry,  4/6 - 8/13 I would of thought. You may well get better than 11/4 Dundalk to qualify later in the week which would get you better than 6/5, but would take the 2/1 on St Pats now.

Kiddo i rarely write a team off but this Dundalk side have no chance just take the Pats bet and don't be throwing away value.

Thanks for the input RF. Hadn't really considered the nitty gritty of the Dundalk match yet to be honest, the 2/1 outright just jumped out at me. I know Pats were missing a few last night (didn't matter of course) so would be looking at team news before the weekend to decide on what cover to take, if any.

Most of those were suspended but will be back, i think they just rested Conor Kenna as well, Dundalk will be without one of their better midfielders for this as well and maybe their best best player too. I'll check that up for you.

kiddo, Pat's main worry is Dundalk's artificial surface. If you were looking to have a saver I would have a small bet on Dundalk to win in 90 mins today. You should be able to get about 10/1 on here which is a bit of value.

Absolute nonsense about the pitch it hasnt stopped them winning on their last six visits to Oriel.

St Patrick's Athletic are one win away from ending a 51-year wait for the FAI Cup after Liam Buckley's men booked their spot in the final thanks to a 3-0 win over Dundalk at Oriel Park. AWAY THE SAINTS.

I can't agree with you Gant poor crowds for a cup semi, our last 2 crowds for home semi's was 5.5k and 4.8k both sell outs but Sligo is a football town.

They will hardly have the final in the aviva with crowds like that for a semi.

Sligo seems to be the exception to the rule......fair play.
