With decent runs last weekend from the Irish runners maybe they are worth a thread to highlight them.Don,t really intend it to be a betting thread as such, more a discussion of opinion in regards their chances.
Perth tomorrow(Elliott, heavens forbid) and Newmarket for the week should be plenty of runners.
Kick off today with Denis Hogans Cerveza Dinero 5.20 N.Abbott.
Ran a very good race on Sunday finishing second to improving rival in Coffee has an extra two furlongs today which on the face of it shouldn,t be a problem. While i wouldn,t be too afraid of his rivals, the recent rain would be more of a worry as i think it was Mr.Hogans intentions to go over for good ground.Still his maiden hurdle win at Mallow was soft.Todays main rivals are in the most part returning from a lay off and unless Cerveza Dinero shows a total aversion to the ground it would be hard to see him unplaced.

Bracken House 4.20.N.Abbott
Same trainer/jockey combination,he contests a seller here, being backed finished near enough at Killarney and Sligo to say he could have a hand in this.Hard to evaluate his rivals however.

tbh its john joes i'd be interested in ...not saying hogans wont play a part ,he as you say might have hoped the ground would have been better..my interest in oneills is simply this...i find it hard to believe they've got it so wrong about deed of gift ..with blinkers on today i'd say they've either found the key to this fellow or else its last chance salon..thats the 4..20..no opinion on the 5.20..

As its a seller workrider hard to know with them.Won,t surprise me in the slightest if O,Neill does as you say.Bracken house was 10l off Drumlister in the race he threw away in Killarney, that gives him a shout.Probably wont touch that race myself.
As an aside ex John Brassils winning maiden pointer Merrion Square was impressive on ground he wasn,t suppose to like in the novice chase, more to come from him.

Same here, while he was a bit put out about the ground,he thought he might get away with it.Bracken House while well backed ran poor enough.

Yesterdays 4 runners yielded just 2 places(apologies to Gerald Penfold, not a name i was familiar with).Disappointing two finished unplaced in the seller, ground change may not have helped their causes however.
Irish trainers well represented at Perth today,Gordon Elliott has his usual few,he is a trainer i can,t get a handle on at all.
2.45 Looks an Irish winner here,Elliott.s Esporao finished 12l behind Blackstairmountain on the flat last month has a maiden and novice hurdle win to its name,Miss Mc Guinness saddles Forty Thirty winner of 2 sellers lately, looks the likely winner at cramped odds.
3.20 Other than a third here in a nov ch,very little on show to have any confidence with Elliotts Definite All Star.Of his opponents Beidh Tine Anseo will love the ground, still not a strong race.
4.30 Wide open handicap chase,Elliotts Trendelenburg might make a place,Edward Cawley,s Oscar Glory has little to recommend formwise, ground should suit,a race to swerve.
5.05 Another open handicap, flying the flag here are Latin Connection  Bondage and Drop Anchor,of the 3 Bondage seems to have the best chance even though well beat in a maiden hurdle last time out.

bit of a pun there pa lapsy...BONDAGE WELL BEATEN ....i'll go and check they put the handcuffs back....Laugh....seriously though i think this has a chance...not given the best of rides in killarney ...not condons best by a long chalk ,hes a smashing jockey btw ...i dont think todays race would be much harder to win either....i might have a little nibble at this later ....

Haha Workrider he might be tied for the lead at some stage,no bet on any of them for me,ex Bolgers Beidh Tine Anseo only bet there. At Downpatrick liked In the Havens last run in Ballinrobe where he jumped well and stayed on,fav forms is better, still if the 8 stand their ground hard to see him unplaced,6/1 ew only other bet.

With 11 runners contesting 6 races at Perth today the raiders look very likely to add to yesterdays haul.
2.10 Tepalo Won maiden at Sligo snugly after good efforts in same.I,d be surprised if not good enough to beat Bowens one, 13l 2nd in a 5 runner handicap lto.
2.45 Beef to the heels. In the process of running a decent race when falling lto on the back of two previous p.u,s.Before that again won its maiden well.Hard to judge his rivals. In the case of the trainers Esporao and Bondage yesterday both were very well backed just before the off, probably best to see if the same theme materialises.
3.20 Carlito Brigante Only for his last run would look to classy for these, again a market watch with him before the off.
3.55 'O Hare,Martin, and Elliott have runners here,on the face of it none of them look great, could be a race for a touch but a swerve for me.
4.30 Mightey Whitey and Rockazar. At Down Royal lto Mightey Whitey finished around 17l ahead of Rockazar.Even given the fact he is not the most straightforward,Mightey Whitey looks to have an ew claim in a poor enough race.
5.35 3 representatives in the bumper,Gold Ability won a soft ground bumper at Clonmel,Mc Niffs Josh Deets won his at Uttoexeter and Elliott has unraced Captain Pierce,no views on this really the two home course winners did the job well,a tricky finale.

He did, thought he did enough myself, winner found a good turn of foot.
Beef to the heels ran a solid race,Tepalo was given a very negative ride in the first, didn,t look as if he was going to win at any stage.

carlito drifted alarmingly near the off..out from 2.64 to 4.2 in 5 min.it was never meant to win.5 fell inc fav and 3rd fav, the one that beat him is rated 115.carlito 141.if no horse fell it wouldnt have been sighted.draw your own conclusions

Even Pat Mustard couldn,t suss this lot out Kavvie, some place that course, seem to be having a bit of a nibble on Elliott,s in this one.

Gamble foiled, good 3rd,might be one to note on another cross channel foray with better ground. Rockazar finished 2nd.

Had small word for Gold Bullet (Mark O'Hare/Robbie Colgan) in the last at Perth. Ran welll. 12/1 into 9/1

Wasn,t beaten far at all Soapp, probably better again with step up in trip/softer ground.
A few raiders today though none look like having an outstanding chance.
1.55 Newmarket Alfonso De Sousa
Scintillating maiden win and a just over a length behind Dundonell gives him a chance in a race where all seem to be rated within few pound.
2.25 Newmarket Sendmylovetorose.
Beaten over 5l in the Moyglare lto previously was fortunate to beat Maureen, maybe place chances but i like Maureens hold up style and late run.
3.00 Newmarket Up/La Collina
Suppose both would have a place chance,La Collina has a couple of lengths to find with Chachamaidee on Leopardstown running,Ups beating of Aloof reads well, good field here however.
3.35 Newmarket Moran Gra.
Miss Morgans runner has run well in some big handicaps with 34 rivals a race probably best left alone.
5.05 Market Rasen Claiming Benefits/Rampant Ronnie
R O Leary is a name i,m not too familiar with but he has had a cross channel winner before,i,ll keep an eye on these two but they look to have no chance here.
Apologies if left out any raiders, unlike last Saturday doesn,t look as if they will have a winner today,Maureen only bet for me.
