They really are taking the proverbial p!ss, O'Brien was at it again as usual with a horse who shouldn't have been overly inconvenienced by the ground, his 6/1 shot Thomasgainsborough not beaten far in the Ulster Harp Derby (premier handicap) last time, somehow managed to be beat 34L's yesterday in a much weaker contest, but that doesn't even come close to the performance of the 5/1 fav "Encrypted Message" trained by the so called Galway king Dermot Weld, form figures read before yesterday,

22121, on ground, gd,hy,sft,gd,y/sft, fair enough the handicapper raised the horse 13lb, but how does that explain this favourite finishing 13 of 13 beaten not 5L's nor 10L's or even 50L's but a whopping yes whopping 105L's, must be nearly a record for a favourite to beaten that far in a 12f flat race?, I'm sure the trainer will have a perfectly truthful explanation for yet another appaling run from one of his charges, while the authorities and media don't even bat an eyelid.
Why do we bother?!

wildmanfromborneo , i have to say i think silvergeaser has a point ....the fact that some trainers seem to be above the law is unacceptable ...they should be asked for an explanation  for any horse of theirs running below expectations ..in fact every trainer should .....

There is a big difference in your reasonable and correct point and Silvergreaser rant.
I agree entirely with your last post in that they should be asked for an explanation.
There was nothing crooked in Encrypted Message run he just ran inexplicably badly,it happens.

What about Des saying 'Then comes Encrypted message making a bit of headway'
as they entered the straight!!

Wildman so the horse ran inexplicably badly and that should be the end of it in your eyes?, surely somebody has to be accountable for such a dismal performance by a race favourite?, then again whats the point in asking these trainers for an explanation as they fill the stewards with any old **** and bull story and the stewards swallow every word, hook line and sinker, convenient for everyone concerned, out of sight out of mind, and hump all those favourite backers in the betting shops and online, your money is unfortunately a necessary evil but totally worthless at the same time if you know what I mean?.

BTW I'm not pocket talking as I only had one bet yesterday, I heard a whisper for Tipping Over who was narrowly beatten in the previous race.
