It's a shame none of the racing eperts want to talk about racing, i see the forum's answer to John McCririck wildmanfromborneo stuck in the middle of the Mayo v Donegal thread, he's from Tipp. Do most people just come on for a mess these days like him?

Why do you like talab in the 2nd last?
|
|
By:
8 pounds lower mark on chases than over hurdles Pa

Probably will try to make all/prominent,jumped the fixed obstacles well at Kilbeggan where he also received reminders with a circuit to go,still stayed on well enough to the finish.Suppose he would have an ew chance in a very open race.

if berties dream was anyway fit he'd have a big chance in the last ...go on rocket pop over and have a look at him in the paddock....

I like Three Sea Captains at Fairyhouse.

By:
like him myself punchestown , his attitude the last day was admirable , trying hard not to have a bet ...but this lad might tempt me...
|
|
By:
Sir harry cash only bet for me today, not for a lot either as finished fairly tamely and stiff finish might be against him here.Shouldn,t have many better chances to open account and truckin all night franked the run at Listowel.

By:
n oshea , seem to remember this lad starting out with dessie , not unlike young maxwell who also disappeared off the radar....anyone have ideas why...
|
|
By:
had a very small bet on this for old times sake....

good shot won easy, sir harry no cash ran a stinker.

pa,there was a good few bob for it , surprised it was beaten before 3 out though..becoming expensive to follow now....

Rocket
While I have no opinion on Talab as I have not studied the race backing horses solely because their chase mark is so much lower than their hurdle mark or vice versa is a fast way to the poorhouse. They tend to be overbet as a result of the differential and more often than not are simply more proficient in one sphere than the other. |

Yeah WR fact it got so close to trucking all night and magic spear(7l off whatever jacksays next time) swayed me even though worried about uphill finish. Anyway..
good luck with 3 sea captains, might be aptly named with them conditions. |

not having a bet lapsy pa...think its a race were anything could happen the way the ground has gone tbh....wait till we get a change of going next year , most of this years form can be thrown out the window ...

24 Sep 12 16:45 n oshea , seem to remember this lad starting out with dessie , not unlike young maxwell who also disappeared off the radar....anyone have ideas why... Injuries curtailed young Nicky's career. A Kerryman is he. Also rode a lot for Conor O'Dwyer. |

He has a lovely long nose Punchestown,
,--------------------------- Very game performance considering the weights,on a different note I thought Mark Walsh wasn't exactly manic on the run in on Plan A in the Novice Chase and didn't appear to be too interested in closing down the winner (no bet in the race). |
|
By:
If I remember correctly Nicky O Shea got a few heavy falls off the same horse in Novice Chases for Dessie, name escapes me for the minute,Orange jacket with black hooped sleeves I think.
