Seen it on the news the Govt, shocking stuff writing to refugees who have lived there for 4 years telling them they have 1 week to move Ballyhaunis. It's mainly single mothers who had to flee for their countries for one reason or another and come to Ireland. As one woman said give us jobs we want to work ! Not good enough with the school year just started and some of these people have bad medical conditions. There is a support rally for them at 1pm on Saturday

Most of these people arrived illegally and undocumented(passport not available to Irish authorities).
The refugee office in Mount street is rumoured to be closing due to falling numbers.......80% of staff are redeployed.

gant has a valid point on this one rocket , do you know how much it costs to smuggle someone from africa rocket , roughly around 10,ooo euros , how many irish people could put their hands on that kind of money atm .....young single mothers as well , hope you are getting the message rocket ,.....how do you think they pay this back ,we pay it for them , by allowing these women and men into this country you are in effect helping the trade in human suffering , most of those arriving from africa apart from nigerians that is, can hardly speak a word of english ...so as someone else says ..were do we get the jobs for these people , we cant even support our own  who have to leave these shores in droves ...plus your observation that many of these  are in urgent need of medical help thus adding to an already over long waiting list ...

What is your source for this 10k figure?

Vote Wonky/Wildman in 2012.

its the sum most quoted by  refugees when asked ....do you think the people smugglers do it on the cheap....Laugh

If that is the figure quoted by most refugees, and by your reckoning most of them do not speak English, I must bow to your linguistic skills and commend you for your work with these unfortunate people.

Anyway, I could get you a much better refugee for less than half that.

Hold on, how would the refugee know the costs? The only ones who would know the cost of something like that would be those behind the operation.

You have been coy about the source of your vast wealth on here in the past. You have admitted to golfing with known bad boy Tiger Woods, travel the world supporting a football team whose other supporters can't rub two shillings together, had an extended stay in a top class treatment facility when you went off the rails gambling, and yet never seem to work.

Workrider- human trafficker.

Another great liberal and also a University graduate shows his intolerance and makes a disgraceful allegation and one he knows is untrue.

Now Workrider i'd count you as a good friend on here and i really enjoyed the auld banter we had last night, but my wee friend i think this is an argument for the more educated or better informed than you and honestly you're out of your depth and bar the auld worn out cliche or a few snippets from the Sun i really can't see anything i could even discuss with you. Now i'm the first to admit i know i fool around on here quite a bit but i could wipe the floor with nonsense like you've written, that's the language of a 15 year old 'drunk boy'. Now please don't take any offence to that Workrider and you know what, i know you won't take any offence to it either. This is just a friendly chat and a bit of advice i'm given to a friend Happy

it would be advisable to know how to spell before offering any "advice". even "advice" to wonky....don't you think?

Major facepalm moment here for Thickster, are you getting 'advice' the noun mixed up with 'adivise' the verb Slick by any chance?

Thegalwayman and Rocketfingers peering down from their lofty perch exude superiority and arrogance, they both pretend to be University graduates yet Workrider who has worked all his life uses his various life experiences to show him the reality of life.Rocketfingers patronising post to Workrider is both insulting and wrong as Rocketfingers couldn't wipe the floor of his bedroom, now if you had ever held down a job you might comprehend things a bit more.

Wildmanfromborneo my father was out walking yesterday, he fell, so guess who has to take care of him? Yes, The Rock has to. Now i don't mind, but seeing Workrider post that message i knew someone would destroy him, i was right TGM was in there, i was a bit late i admit. I also stood up for you last night, maybe i feel a bit guilty that i was not able to save my father from falling and as you two are the same age approx i'm simply looking out for you, i don't want you guys to fall foul of the posters that will take you apart for a laugh although i do usually laugh at the replies.
