One of the highlights for this time of year in the NH Calender. A great race which always proves hard winning. Last night I got the notion to go through all the runners in detail and not too many well handicapped horses in it. Alpine Eagle to me should be fav after his Galwal plate run. If he starts level with them this time no reason why he cant win. Shark is looking for a hat trick and saddles Campbonnais. He changed hands from Charles Byrnes for 22k. his run in the plate was not inspiring but first 3 furlongs he was trapped wide and running like a 2miler. I think he needs to get into a rhythm and get jumping and off a potential feather weight he could be interesting considering his Listowel record. Themoonandsixpence is will be Willies best training performance to get this to win off 136. Handicapper could have been better to him after the break. One horse I cant have is Casey Top - great servent, but if he wins a KN off 140 Il give up the game. Good 2nd in Galway but had alot go his way there.
potential 1-2-3 Alpine Eagle Campbonnais Daffern Seal - nice profile...
casey top didnt have the ground go his way in the plate. probably would have won on good ground which he needs and wont be winning kerry national unless its on the good side.

i agree with soapp. im not in the know by any means but a mate of mine got word of this one last week and he was told it would win.
i know its he usual, he may or may not but there is definite big expectation behind it.
i didnt back it as i havent even looked at the race.

5 day decs went out this morning - few interesting points. 1 - follow the plan stayed in so looks like hel run and keep weights down, could be a fast national! 2 - themoonandsixpence should only carry 10st3, doubt ruby will make 10st 3 after time off 3 - campbonnais sneeks in at 9st11, his not over big and iv always said his better off feather weigh, hopefully thy will claim off him too. 4 - Muirhead seems to be dropped a pound for his win... 5 - liam o kelly now owns save my blushes!! he once had kellelshan with paul flynn and now has bought this out of his yard to go in training with denis hogan who has been very lucky for this owner!! 6 - i believe the ground is ok thr at the mo and expecting a fine week ahead!!
any views?

2 days to go and a real un interest in the market. i played only 2 bets ew and might leave it, had v small punt on campbonnais ew at 25s but ground well gone and a nice ew bet on alpine eagle. looked through premier danes for and must say not a fan, and will defo be laying themoonandsixpence if price becomes silly

I assume the concern is the ground and they are hoping it will dry out to some extent.
