Dave Barrry springs to mind.........he kept it lit at both ends..........I remember his great battles with Colm Coyle..........It was probably easier then as the soccer season was not during the summer months.
He played for UCD and then was Shamrock rovers top scorer in his first season for them. He cost Rovers £25000 at the time and bailed off to play football with a year left on his contract.

yes freddiek UCD....think mick deegan might of played a bit with bohs aswell.....peter withnall scored a winning goal in all ireland semi final in 1991 and the winning goal in the final league game of season for dundalk a few years later.
