I like Pat Gilroy, but I do feel he made a huge mistake staying on, after more or less fluking an All-Ireland in 2011.
Kerry still have nightmares about the one they threw away in 2011. Pat should have gone last year and put "Job Done" sign up................... |

Did a fantastic job with an average bunch. He banished the arrogant attitude we used to see in Dublin teams, instead Gilroy instilled great confidence and character amongst them and made them All Ireland contenders. Most importantly he brought them to the Holy Grail last season, a task many Dublin managers could not achieve. I rate him highly, hope to see him back managing again soon.
Who will succeed him? Jim Gavin more than likely? Maybe Gerry McEntee of Brigids or Jason Ryan even? |

Gavin is the fav as i understand it
hard to see somebody like McEntee in the job, given his legendary Meath career |

Yea Gavin is the number one contender. Thought McEntee would be considered given his success with Brigids last year, he has been nominated for the Meath position aswell. Would he have the time to be an inter-county manager though.
It's Gavin's if he wants it. |

It doesn't really matter who takes over.........Mickey Whelan is the main man.

Whelan proved to be a huge loss this season.
The conveyor belt of talent Dublin have coming through will have them at the top for awhile, whoever steps in should bring more All Ireland glory in the next few years. |
