as a person who often praised pp in the past as a reasonable good bookmaking firm i find their latest restriction to a max of 100e or 50 ew guaranteed morning price very puzzling indeed.are they trying to reduce turnover?is it costing them too much?(as much as sprinter sacre?!?).i know plenty of heavy punters who back morning price with pp(up to 500e guaranteed)).id say that will now stop.if other firms follow suit which they prob will, morning price betting will drastically reduce.the thing is if theres a gamble in the morning on say a 2/1 shot and after all the money is bet on it,and its sp is greater then 2s 9 times out of 10 it wont win anyway.if it shortens they are stuck with paying at 2s anyway.i find the whole thing puzzling and cant see how it makes any sense for a firm of pps standing to restrict these bets.

Thats why Eps are fairly bad alright Soapp, with the bog concession punters can,t lose out as they are getting the better price i,d imagine it costs them alright Kavvie.
A few i noticed today(not all pp)
Headfort lady ep 10/1 sp 33/1
Shemwar ep 5/2 sp 10/3
Red sea poll ep 9/2 sp 15/2
If the concession wasn,t there anyone that took the 9/2ep on RSP would imo have a fair right to feel aggrieved with such a big discrepency on sp.

point is people wont feel they are getting a good deal backing early morning and wait for the show price(which isnt restricted i  think)..it could be argued that ep marks their cards anyway.though im sure they have people on exchanges to neutralise any losses they might incur..

So let me get this straight, i go into a Powers shop for the big race on a Saturday morning, i write out my docket for 100 ew on a 10/1 horse and they'll tell me sorry we can only accept 50? This can't be surely?

Paddy Power have shareholders and like to make money, morning prices are not profitable and doubly unprofitable with the best odds guaranteed.
The reason it is hard to get on morning prices because they make mistakes, they may price up to eighty horses and get a couple wrong and they are drilled on them, today the obvious mistake was Along Came Casey what price was he in the morning.
Rocketfingers is there any aspect of betting you understand, you haven't grasped spread betting, you thought BOG was bags, you think hundreds of thousands are wagered on League Of Ireland matches in Asia, try and overcome your infamous low attention span and follow some of the dreaded in your eyes longer threads about betting.

What shift are you on tomorrow Wildmanfromborneo? I hope you have time to start one of your famed Dunphyesque threads telling us Messi is no good at football, Tony McCoy can't ride a horse and Brian O'Driscoll only ever excelled at tag rugby.

Get some sleep there are many shelves for you to pack tomorrow amigo. Cool

You seem to think there is some disgrace in shift work which is ironic as according to yourself your only job was as a hairdresser.
I was baling straw today for a neighbour and doing it unpaid a concept you would find hard to grasp.

People want to pay me for my work, they have an opinion that my time is worth money. I tend to agree with them Wildman, anyway fair play for helping out your neighbour.

Never Give Up you tried that before and got caught, you posted a winning selection two minutes after the race was over on the racing forum Onlooker exposed you, your post about it being 1.01 was made after you read my post on the racing forum,it really is sad and pathetic that you so desire affirmation you have to cheat to get winners.
You have yet to create a thread about racing you just descend on some poster and Harry them, your first quarry was Lazarus and you made over 5000 posts in that pursuit, you then transferred your stalking to me,your latest seems to be Money Tree the same format a regurgitation after regurgitation of posts followed by the usual claims of sexual deviancy.

Strange a thread on bookmakers and the man who claimed to be a wealthy bookmaker with an in depth knowledge of bookmaking has no comment to make only his usual obsession.
