Huge win for my beloved Sligo Rovers tonight as we move 9 points clear and 11 points ahead of Shamrock Rovers and Pats with 7 games left to play !

35 Years of waiting nearly over Cool

Shams have 7 winnable games before they come to the showgrounds last game
Home: Shels, Bohs, Dundalk, Derry, UCD
Away:  Bray, St.Pats, Sligo
- pats away being the obvious fly in the ointment. They are coming into form and sligo can only drop 5 points or it will become a title decider.
Sligos run in is Home: Dundalk, Derry, St.Pats. Shams
Away: Bray, Cork, Drogs.

if we get 8 points from the 4 games in bold i cant see us being caught.

Personally cant see pats or drogs mounting a serious challenge.

yes sligored and rf, title looks likely, the 3rd goal last night was a great team goal, the first 2 helped by an off colour bohs goalie.

i fully expect 3 points from the next game v dundalk. that leaves 6 games, and due to a number of dublin derbies in the next few weeks, i think 8 or 9 points will all that will be needed from those last 6 games.

given that north is out for the rest of the campaign and boco now gone, i would not like it to get tight for the bit o red in the latter stages.

one very good point, is that sligo are hopefully going to win the league leaving within their means, not just one season wonders.

a shame about boco, had a great season and a big contributor to the league position, speaks a little poorly for loi that he leaves now for a div 2 team in uk for better wages. but that is the economic reality i suppose of a sportsman with a short earning shelf life.

Agree KL i'd be the same but 4 more wins and a draw wins it for us as our goal difference is so much better. We'll have a serious booze if we do it Cool

wonder if O'Neill had hung around would things be as they are? Although it doesnt surprise that Sligo are champs-elect, they have been building up to this these last few seasons
