Well done to Meath Minors

Would prefer the minors to learn all the basic skills rather than be so physically fit, although a high level of fitness should be assumed at this level. Minors is simply a building block and they have years to work on their conditioning for the senior ranks.

Rocketfingers........Mayo didn't fade in the last few minutes and allow Meath back in..........They faded in the whole 2nd half.....no score for 27 minutes...........you will not get away with that in an All Ireland semi final.......for a team that nothing was expected of at the start of the season the hard graft is paying off.........Well done lads.

Mayo faded 2nd half after playing beautifully controlled football in first half .  Two of their players had to go off for blood sub early in second half , think that upset their rhythm .

One caveat about the Meath forwards in particular was that a couple of them could not hand to toe properly at speed .  That was in built-in in  my day , fellow players gave you a hard time when you managed to lose easy ball to a defender .

And the ref helped Meath more than Mayo , maybe inadvertently , but I trust he wont get the final .

Rocketfingers you may beg you may plead you may try to ingratiate your way on to GANT007s good side but it will all be in vain,GANT007 will only be friendly to you out of pure pity.

To be honest I thought Mayo were grossly flattered to ever lead the game by 7 points, Meath could've had a hatful of goals in the first half, I thought Meath were by far the better side just took their time to find their scoring range.

To be fair Wildman i'm just being nice, no harm in that? I would hope that if the 35 years of pain and heartache is to come to an end in a few weeks you and gant will have the touch of class that i've shown here today in congratulating me and SligoRed.

Dublin will take care of meath in the final,2 poor teams yesterday.Dublin a class above the rest this year.

Rocketfingers I am sorry you have had such a tough life but hope the loyal Never Give Up has brought you some comfort recently.

When it comes closer i'm going to start a thread, i just don't want to jinx it. NGU is a great lad, one of the best posters on here and you've taking an awful battering of him of late Wildman, his ability to catch you is uncanny. I for one am proud to call him friend.

Fair comment,you got to admire his witty contributions,his excellent choice of smileys but you are too modest he is not in your league,he spent six hours on one of the quiz threads and despite a myriad of clues failed to answer a single question,at least you got one right.

First of all you arrived before your name was mentioned but even so how would we get those witty contributions,the carefully selected smileys,if we didn't call you out,in fairness you never let us down.
It is a tragedy that you don't create threads here,the in depth racing knowledge,your knowledge of geography,knowledge of coursing would be of inestimable value,yet you prefer the private messages route.   Selfish.
