How are ya Tony, there is supposed to be a fair bit of rain for the area tomorrow afternoon, know its gd-gf at the moment but if the ground changed significantly not too sure will it suit duntle and requisition in the 7.25,both seem to handle yielding at most,Takar seems better on soft/heavy,maybe better with a bit of caution here and see the 1st race or two.Gl with them.

Can't see Duntle running.I'd say there will be no shortage of non runners tomorrow.

Tony57 don't mind the smart Alec Irish Guy 13 he has yet to make a positive post here, the time of his contribution is significant, emboldened by drink he scours the forum and comes up with three posts of varying degrees of stupidity.
Alpinist is a very interesting runner by the sire of the moment out of a mare Alouette that I think Bolger trained for the present owners, starting him off over a mile is unusual and needing the run would be a major worry.Hall Of Mirrors ran in a Curragh maiden where he finished third, beating two better fancied stable companions, the two in front of him ran well in a listed race in Tipperary, they have been preserving some decent rides for the returning Joseph OBrien so looks the bet to me but beware if they start to punt him could start a crazy price, the twos available now seems value.

I notice Joseph has a few rides tonight for daddy at the bare minimum, good possibility of a few lbs overweight?.

Going will be crucial for Takar tonight but "they" seem happy enough to back it.

Sean Og Coulson interesting in the 18.25 after a good run at Galway.

The guy simply can't do 9st anymore even with a heavy sweating session it seems, they were well aware this morning that he was going to be putting up overweight yet you only find out when they're going to post?, you'll have plenty more incidents of Joseph putting up overweight before the season is out in their relentless pursuit of the jockeys title.
Raise the weights and invent some reason for its justification like non existing health reasons, when in fact all its done is prolong the agony of one particular jockey, which we're all aware is why it was sanctioned in the first place, to keep Joseph riding flat horses for as long as its humanly possible, hey John Egan and Aidrian McGoldrick what about the health of the jockey you so cynically helped keep riding at the most unnatural of weights?, oh the hypocrisy!.

Gant the Oxx stable must have picked up that disease "Ballydoyle-eitus" fancied horses getting beat country miles, in Takar's case 23L's, I wonder what Johnny Oxx excuse will be it certainly can't be the ground?.

Oxx Stable is rotten to me. I don't know how he still gets the Aga Khans tbh.

Not really. He wins nothing of any note other than the Super Horse despite having arguably the second strongest stable of bloodstock in Ireland for decades. Bolger, Weld even Watchman turn out superior results than Oxx. Halford is even taking more of the Aga Khan stock and doing just as well if not better than Oxx with the cast off's.

That's a very skewed way of looking at things Ruby. John Oxx has won most races worth winning in Ireland and England plus the Arc and other important international races. If you had been watching the stable in the ninties you would have been in awe of the stable and the way he produced top horses regularly. Given that he is dealing largely with one source (i.e. the Aga Khan families) it is inevitable that you will have some slow seasons, maybe even three or four together. They are slow maturing families and in addition you have to recognise that the mares which produced the top horses such as Sinndar are now towards the end of their breeding careers and thus are less likely to produce good horses. He also faces strong competition from the French base of the operation as it is much more lucrative for the Aga Khan to race his horses there with the prize-money and breeders premiums. When you account for the commercialism that Coolmore have brought to the game (and in particular the Sadlers Wells influence) it is no wonder that Oxx has slipped down the order slightly. This doesn't reduce his value as a trainer, it's just the game he is in. To say Halford is dealing in Oxx's cast off's is also being quite insincere to both parties.

Sinndar and Sea The Stars have saved John Oxx reputation,it seems to be forgotten that after 1989 he received all the Aga Khans horses that would have gone to Michael Stoute and Luca Cumani and he produced nothing. He expanded his stable employed a host of extra staff and did a dreadful job,he had no idea of what was going on.He is a poor judge of a horse an even worse placer of a horse and his reputation has been salvaged by Sea The Stars an undoubted champion.
