I think Hay point is overpriced at 9/2 with Laddies, trading here at 5.0.This authourised 3 yo filly ran well on handicap debut at Fairyhouse, finishing 2 lenghts behind chicago(off 85) receiving 2lbs.Chicago has subsequently won a handicap at Down Royal and was competitive off 102 at Galway.
Hay point underperformed at Galway, perhaps didn't act at the track, she didn't get the run of the race and Murtagh was far from tough on her once her chance had gone. |

how can you say well done? when soapp's only stratgey is to lay the fav?

It is not his only strategy irish guy

That strategy is working out better than mine tonight.
Irish guy is it profitable to lay every favourite throughout the year??Have you paper trailed it?? On average 32% of favourites have won on Irish tracks over the last 5 seasons,so if the average Betfair sp is less than 9/4 it would be. |

He lays the favourite when he is not at the races. It is more refined than simply laying the favourite blindly.

Just back and i have to say while the crowd was not great no one was betting in the ring, never seen the ring so quiet.Has to be a lot of people using phones to get on or betting before they go there. An all flat card is never too popular. Some nice girlies there though, esp one of them
