the first ,
a ordinary maiden i'd say , two to take out of it were sinour , flameseeker ,
race 3
lightnin hopkins was given a fine ride by young carroll ...he came over to the stand side and left the others alone , looked beaten inside the last , ran on really well and has a good attitude ....more to come from this fellow ....
the first hurdle race was stolen by the jockey on the winner ..he kicked on well over 6 out and left to hi own devices won well ...i'd say the jockey on the second had his ears burnt after the race...
the second hurdle was won in fine style by jp's clancy strand who showed fine battling qualities to get up on the inside and win going away ..another o keep on the right side of...the loudest cheer of the day came when nurse ryan got to its feet , having took a heavy fall at the last ..the screens went up , but after what seemed an eternity the horse got to its feet to loud cheers ...the app race was run after a slight delay ,horse refused to be loaded , i was impressed with the quality of riding by these young riders , the winner started to hang a little well inside the final furlong , the young jockey was awere of this and had full control of his mount .,,young queally is tiny but again always looked in control of his mount ...i wish these young jockeys all the best in the future ....finally to sum up my day ..i had 3 bets ...lightnin hopkins ...oh feck just had a look at what won the last ...money spider backed this last two runs
...el fontan....clancy strand ...a good day all round...a poor crowd for a bank holiday...again no big screen ...someone needs a good talking to....

Good write up workrider,really should be a big screen up at every meeting,that the last couple of meeting that there hasnt been a screen there at naas.

I thought Boston Rocker hung fire twice inside the last furlong which cost it vital momentum and wasn't really noticed by the commentators because the camera angle was trying to cover the full width of the track.

tbh punchestown , i was fully focused on hopkins as i thought he was beat inside the last , on form i thought hopkins had a great chance of turning it around with him..not much in it at the line either....

..i thought georgebernardshaw was going to be a world beater , after it won by a big margin up the curragh one day...i dont think its won a race since ...but that was MY OPINION ,...i'm just an ORDINARY PUNTER WHO LIKES TO FORM HIS OWN OPINION , been doing that for the last 40 ys and STILL GOING STRONG MATE.... |

Workrider, you couldn't have seen me there as I was in Mallow on Sunday and Monday!! No one there Sunday bar MR Weld Mr Oxx and a few punters. Very good crowd yesterday. By the way next year Mr Weld gets his way with Galway on their own on Sunday. Mallow have bank holiday Monday and Tuesday evening next year. Makes more sense.

workrider my reply to your O/P was that it was full of content that would lead some to believe these should be bet next time out which is your opinion but you get a clouded view (9 actually) that way when money is invested im not stating i know more or less than you but there is a time when LESS IS MORE ie say nothing

Workrider, never mind I haven't been inclined to write up of late what will all the evening racing on etc.
I got near a ton out of the day. I know I am aftertiming.  I managed to put Gimli's Rock in the placepot where only the winner counted so getting the three to one on shot Mossey Joe beat was some result. By the way I dropped over two ton last week so it was badly needed. Well done yourself yesterday. |

decalec , this was just my observation of the days proceedings nothing else , if people decide to back these on my say so...i doubt many will ...thats their choice ..i've never thought of myself as any kind of tipster , those that know me personally know i get some solid information , which i never try to gain any financial reward from...if i feel i can trust someone , i just might be kind enough to impart some small snippet their way...i'm lucky enough to know a few trainers and jockeys and owners but most of my bets are done after lots of study ...as i said its only my OPINION...i asked you earlier to allow us partake of your knowledge of racing ...i still await your answer ....

There is a tradition that when some posters go racing they post on here their observations.Soapp does this regularly and does a great job,Workrider gave his observations on Naas which i found interesting but for some unknown reason this seemed to antagonise Decalec.Its not as if ye have paid a subscription both Workrider and Soapp are unpaid and deserving of our thanks rather than criticism,to parse Workriders piece and pick up on each statement is manifestly unfair but to then demand he must review the videos before he gives an opinion is ludicrous.Workrider reviews races with his eye like nearly all racegoers,i do the same and often think your first impressions are the best.

This forum is like Daniel ODonnell in some are afraid to admit they like it.
Lots of posts start I don't usually post here or it used to be good but Decalec got annoyed with a post he could easily have ignored but sent a rambling incoherent criticism which is probably why he contributes so little. |
