Cant agree with you on this one Workrider and you are normally a good race reader.
This race was a story of the Enrights,Mark was instructed to make all as there were no other front runners, this he did to perfection,Phillip who knows Mirador Del Conde well was obviously instructed to go wide in search of better ground,he has to follow instructions however he knew he had nothing left way out so did not belabour the unfortunate beast,Darenjan hated the ground and the Shark should not have run him,Slieveardagh hated the course and didn't act on it.
How in hell did I not back the winner all so obvious now.
On a final note surprised to see call for a ban as in my opinion no jump jockey should ever be banned, the ground will do it for ye.

my call for a ban was a little extreme , the way i see it wildmanfromborneo is , these were experienced jockeys , now maybe you have inside info regarding riding instructions , but to the ordinary racegoer this was not obvious , to say darenjan hated the ground and should not have run only lends strength to the argument , imo its a trainers business to knows his horses ground needs  ...no matter how we dress it up , no horse should be allowed that kind of a lead in that ground .....it wasent as if the ground had been good and all of a sudden turned heavy ....this was bad all round , bad for the image of irish racing , bad for lack of jockeys judgement , and finally to cap it all , a negative response from the stewards who should have called in the jockeys and asked them for an explanation .....

Fair points and if the stewards had called them in they could have explained about instructions etcetera, would have helped to clear things up.
