Has there ever been a more prejudiced reporter,has there ever been a more condescending reporter.
He has now decided to eliminate the Atlanta games from history because he didn't like some of the results.His defence of the Chinese swimmers is justified because they are darlings of the left,contrast that to his persecution of Michelle De Bruin,his commendable efforts to eliminate racism in all walks of life must be contrasted with his sneering of all things English,like his buddy Vincent Browne he never saw the irony in hating Tim Henman because he was English and then attacking others for preferring their own race,a grade a hypocrite.

Very fair minded chap Eamonn, He's just towing the same line that OCI did when not asking a certain athelte to carry the Olympic torch when it came to ireland. So he's really getting his lead from then and no matter what you say those medals are very tarnished Wildmanfromborneo. He stands up against racisim which i like about the chap and i understand what he writes does not appeal to the right the far right and the bigots in this country. He's also championed the case that our athletes deserve more funding and also the funding should be distributed in a fairer manner.

Policitcal stance does not come into it, Sweeney is no Shinner. The fact tha OCI ignored De Bruin is a telling fact, they the highest Olympic authority Wildmanfromborneo in this land and don't take her medals seriously anymore is enough for others to follow suit or certainly think the same without getting lambasted for it. If you don't agree with Sweeney's view on this matter i would start arguing her case with the OCI first.

I think Wildmanfromborneo's argument shows a real lack of intelligence, 'because Rocketfingers likes him that poves that i'm right'. It's ok Wildman my sisters kids are 6 and 4 so i often get the same argument with them, i'm used to infantile behaviour and dealing with it.

Carl Lewis failed numerous drug tests before he won some of his many Golds,still lauded and in London.De Bruin never failed any test and was done for alleged tampering years after her finest hour, maybe her being a fluent Irish speaker annoyed the likes of Sweeney.

Wildman...did it not come out at her hearing that she had tested positive in 97 for a testosterone precursor which was not banned at the time because the testers were unaware of it but was banned a couple of years later?And not trying to start a row how did the alcohol get into the sample? |

There is a thin line between a legal supplement and a drug,all the swimmers sail close to the wind as do most athletes,it seems to me that De Bruin was judged harsher than anyone else,no one ever questioned Sonia OSullivan whose illness seemed drug related and ran against some of the most drugged up athletes in the world yet was competitive.
