I seen Mayo v Sligo and if they had their shooting boots on they would have been out of sight early on. Sligo never turned up against Kildare the last day. Down hammered against Donegal and were unimpressive from what i hear v Fermanagh in a previous round. There was an element of luck about their goal deep in injury time in the first half v Tipp last weekend when it looked like Tipp were going to get in at HT only 2 down they were 5. Mayo can step it up they're better than they showed in the connacht final i'm sure of it.

Good pick Rocketfingers .  What price ?

Down were truly awful .  As a Down man I have posted before that we have not a clue as to how to defend  , must be the easiest team in ireland to score against .

Dont know where we go from now in Down .  Think its mainly that we have not got anything approaching even 5 county standard players . Thats Kerry , Dublin , Cork standard .  Only 2 of current team would have got on the 1991 PANEL , and would not have been guaranteed a starting position .  Sorry current lads , but huge ground to make up .

Well done Mayo , but the Dubs will be a different proposition .

Good work RF. Mayo will rattle Dublin. The Dubs were mediocre yesterday, looked like a shadow of last year. Maybe they are a tiring team just like Kerry. Mayo will fancy their chances however Moran (assuming he's out) will be a massive loss.

Their forwards proved me wrong yesterday, 3-18 is an impressive tally. Although the Down defending was shocking, wouldnt see the like at juvenile level. They wont be givin an inch of space against the Dubs. If I were James Horan I'd do my all to get Mortimer back.

Another thing, dont know how Gilroy stood looking at Eoghan O'Gara for 70 minutes. He took Connolly and Brogan off before him.
