Pat Flynn has a decent Galway profile and has laboured for years trying to boost his stock with the occasional high-profile Ballybrit winner. Now we know virtually every horse is trying at Galway but Weld proves that you need plenty in the locker to give yourself a chance.

Brog Deas is thought to be listed class out under the Comeragh mountains and has the form and ground today. Glad to see that Danny Grant keeps the ride as an apprentice might otherwise have ben chosen suggesting they think they have a little in hand today.

His owner, Mike Hanrahan, is "lucky" and if you back this fellow today you know, win or lose, everyone will be trying 150%.

The ground the key today.
Galway 3.35. Black Mac
This fellow will love the ground and is in good form,i thought he won in Killarney despite the ground will be much more at home on this surface.
Galway 6.00. Vault
This fellows best form is on good ground but he looks to me like a horse that would prefer cut,he has it today also being by Danehill Dancer is a help. They have been running him in top class races as a pacemaker sometimes, he is now back to his proper class and having already won his nursery here we know he likes the place, think this factor gives him a great chance at around 16/1.

I seen a girl from spoils the PR girl tipped shot from the hip in the plate. I think she knows something i'd say they took some money from smart informed guys and this is her way of telling us!

lol at Ted Walsh describing Barney O Hare as a good loser. He obviously never backed a winner with him.

BTW the 1.2 to hold the race in the Stewards room is a gift, no danger

ended up 1.4 to back in the stewards, cannot understand that.

The week is over punting wise if Eddie O Grady's description of the ground is accurate
