It was not hype.
She was highly regarded before she ran in Ireland and won very well from a decent field. God knows what ability she retains now, but it would be nice to see her back with a win. |
By:
Coming back after over 2 years off, shes not up against a whole lot tonight. The question mark maybe is the 10f as 1m 7f at Auteuil seems to be the shortest trip shes tried.looking at her Punchestown win she showed a nice change of gear turning in to suggest it should be okay.At 6/4- 13/8 on the exchanges had to play her.

By:
Fwiw on Willies stable tour says she has been working nicely and should love the ground.
By:
Hard to know what to make of the market as was expecting her to be chalked up 4/6. This must be a Galway pipe opener but doesnt appear to be Willies MO to send one out undercooked after so long off so surely fitness not a concern.

Anyway back to his form of 2010 and this one would still win on three legs.
Two years off is a long long time. So it must have been a serious injury. The form of the opposition though doesn't add up to much. |
By:
Money coming now. Nearly 2-1 earlier, wow.
By:
Very impressive after taking such a keen hold.Think you're right about Galway Sandralay and without getting too carried away looks shes going to have a good winter campaign.
By:
Delighted to see that run. Future might be very bright for her.
By:
What race is she been aimed at for Galway?
By:
Hard to see any race for her at Galway.
The amateur riders maiden would have been a lovely race for her, but she has broken that tag now. Is the Galway hurdle or nothing? I hope they don't run her in that stampede over those horrible easyfix hurdles. |
By:
Actually would be eligible for a mark on the flat now so a few options might present themselves. Maybe the Guinness Handicap over 12f but she might need a mark of 83 or more to run in that. Hard to give her that sort of mark based on today, unless he crucifies her due to her hurdles ability.
By:
if she's really top class,i strongly doubt they'd be running her at Galway,
it's a long season as it is without having to run at Galway in july. |
By:
well done newmanix for highlighting this mare , i'd nearly forgotten about her tbh...i was impressed with her attitude last night ..she looked to me like a mare that was enjoying herself ..more to come imo...
By:
4/5 tonight 7.10pm. A bit short tbh, moondice may give her a battle. One I will be lumping on is.......melodrama @2/1 850 kempton.

Laid it at 1.95 at lunch time.

By:
No bet for me but she's the classiest horse in the race - looking forward to seeing her over the Winter.
By:
2.06 to back now. Im on for a few quid.

By:
I is too, looks like it was last winner i did.
C,mon ou dat ![]() |
By:
id say she had the beating of moondice before the fall, she has yet to be tested. thanks tarla
![]() |
By:
Probably, she,s a sloppy enough jumper herself though, she,s a grand prospect
![]() |
By:
i think she would have had it put up to her tbh....
By:
she had a clumsy landing after the last all right, but I cant wait to see her in a battle, she has potential no doubt!
By:
the fall of moon dice came far too early to say tarla would have won. reckon it would have been a ding dong battle to the line.
By:
we wont know until she gets into a scrap, and if she does I would like Ruby to be onboard.
By:
Her jumping is scary!
By:
Looking at the replay Moon dice was going very well when he went, surprised as i thought the ground was against him,Tarla still stayed on all the way home without Emmet moving, whatever the outcome would have been a very good performance at least against a galway hur winner at this stage in her career.
By:
You would think lads she will be heading on the place with Quevega for the Festival. One great mare in the yard and another potential top class if kept sound.
Get a price on Willie Mullins winning mare hurdle |
By:
great call on melodrama NEWANMIX....wd mate.....
By:
I backed tarla last night, thought i was on the wrong one, moon dice seemed to be going that half stride better throughout the race, until it came a cropper.
By:
Are we still in love with her Newmanix?
Her Auteil races would say the ground shouldn,t be a worry, fair field suppose Missunited her biggest danger,i,d be surprised if she doesn,t finish ahead of her. For such a fine wan disappointed atr kept referring to her as a him. |
By:
Shocking run
.Kevin Ryan says she got very worked up before the race(says it after the race of course)Desperately disappointing run. |
By:
Shes back, very very impressive, despite getting a bit warm, seems to prefer leading ,a stunning run.

By:
Impressive stuff there, not sure she beat much though, anyway a nice price for such an easy win
GWAN TARLA! |
By:
I see tarla has been entered in the grade3 mares chase at clonmel next thurs.she also holds an entry for the morgiana.wonder which she'll take up.mullins seemed quite keen to go over fences after her win the last day.judging on that run fencing should hold no fear.even though she'd be starting in a grade 3 her main danger would seem to be knockfierna who would be giving her a lot of weight.also she'd have to prove herself after running out again the last day.tarla could pick up a chase win and black type here handy enough.any thoughts
By:
Tarla could even mix it between fences & hurdles this season. She could be good enough to dominate both mares divisions
![]() |
By:
It looks a two horse race if she goes to Clonmel alright, she jumped her hurdles well at Punchestown(awkward enough on landing over the last few fixed obstacles at Roscommon) to say she should be okay over fences.
Knockfiena's form is proven and not far off very top class, race will probably be run to suit her if as expected Tarla makes the running. It would be nice to see Tarla being able to settle a bit better,a comprehensive win here and the world is her oyster. |
By:
How impressive was that?!
By:
Some spectacular leaps. Very impressive.

Will mop up on the mares scene this season!
