Backing ouzbeck tomorrow in the summer national, workable mark and has had a bit of a break so hopefully that will have freshened him up as he has the raw ability to take this. He won the race in 10'.

Izzi Top is way overpriced imo,Trading at 4.1-I make her about a 7/4 shot. This daughter of pivotal is proven in the conditions,3rd in last years oaks but she she seems to have improved this year.Johnny G is in flying form,I think the coolmore 3yo fillies will struggle even with their weight for age allowances.

Think Izzi Top has operated at a higher level to Sapphire and make her my best of the day. Also like True Verdict,Midnight Soprano and Famous Name.

When I heard the two Ballydoyle horses were withdrawn I made Izzi Top an odds on shot.11/8 best odds guaranteed is a very fair price.
She has form at the highest level, members of her family had Group 1 winning form on soft and the stable is flying.
My nap of the weekend.

Absolute disaster there today, they cancelled the concert.
Smaller disaster on the punting front, didn`t read this thread plunged on Sapphire, she certainly wasn`t suited by having to make the running and the shorter trip but she was comprehensively beaten, compounded this mistake by backing Midnight Soprano, went all in on the last, couldn`t understand how they were backing the overraced One Cool Shabra,he won a very poor handicap in Clonmel and was nearly a stone higher, this however forced the price of Sky Pilot out to 7/2 which proved too tempting for me and i overdid it,got carried away, bad finish to an excellent three days racing.
I love the Curragh and enjoyed the racing but the ground conditions destroyed it,Derby itself was disappointing although at least we saw a champion,it was a magnificent gesture by Magnier to bail them out i hope it doesn`t backfire on them as Camelot could take a while to get over that race. One small complaint would be the position of the stage for the concerts,it completely blocked the view of the races for anyone in the stands.

glad you had a good few days wildman....great to see a real racing man take on and bet the bookies , thats an art in itself...btw i answered one of your racing  quiz questions ...the workrider one...was it willie burke on santa claus.....?

The question was
Workrider not the forumite.
It was a quiz on the Irish Derby and unsurprisingly Workrider was again correct.

Good tipping lads.

Pity I didn't see this before hand too.

Went in all guns blazing on Sapphire at Evens with Sean Lynch representing Laddies on track.

Got out on the winner in the last and laid the jolly at 2.97 at the off to get out maybe a small bit ahead.

WR, it was great to see Gosden bring over a horse. It's seldom he is seen here as he is against the way entries for most races here are far too early closing.

The only one that I would take out of the 3 day meeting was the Oxx 2 yr old on Friday night Sinaiya. It's unusual to see Oxx with an early 2 yr old esp a winning one first time out. Sea The Stars even got turned over on it's debut.
