Maybe if they concentrated on playing hurling instead of trying to break the kilkenny players up they might have avoided a hammering, in fact the final scoreline flatters Dublin.

Spot on, this is the reason, Dublin don't hurl, they try and slow the game up with constant fouling, a trademark of the Clare teams of the 90's, you foul so often the ref barely knows when to cal or not. |

They can't hurl, they are footballers playing hurling,if it was played in croke park the margin would have been even greater I think.
Galway are next to the slaughter. I have to say TJ Reids goal was magic. |

Yes a super goal by Reid, conditions did not suit the Dubs, and can be counted as being a little unlucky
to have to play such a super team ![]() |

i may have been a little unkind on dublin hurlers, but a lot of them are "manufactured" not "naturals" like kilkenny.

You can put the long hard hours in all you want but Skill/Natural Ability will always come to the fore. Its a massive setback for the metropolitan after all the effort that went in over the last number of years. Kilkenny are just awesome, they put the foot off the gas for the second half, imagine what they could have done if they bothered upping the gear. Their midfield partnership yesterday Paddy Hogan and Buckley are only their second string, the strength and depth they have! And a half fit Henry congrats to him surpassing the 500pt mark. They will rip Galway apart.
I was wrong about Westmeath hurlers. Honestly thought they would be good enough to deliver against Wexford. The yellow bellies were too good for them as the scoreline suggests. And poor Laois got an awful mauling. |
