Any sporting event involving an Irish person/team anywhere in the world and you can guarantee someone will turn up in one.Cry

I cringe whenever I see it tbh.
Report wildmanfromborneo June 15, 2012 11:46 AM BST
Generally young and foolish and in years to come they too will cringe, nothing new there.
Report db1974 June 15, 2012 11:55 AM BST
I despair when I see people in these

They're just real Leprechauns on a night out having the craic, sure will you leave them alone Crazy
Report db1974 June 15, 2012 3:55 PM BST

F**king nation of absolute morons
Report wildmanfromborneo June 15, 2012 10:57 PM BST
Are you sure your Irish and do you really think we are a nation of morons.
Young people dressing up and enjoying themselves what is wrong with that, were ye never young yourselves.
Report moneypenny June 15, 2012 11:51 PM BST
anybody that dresses up in them outfits is a moron
Report Diamond_Joe_Quimby June 16, 2012 12:03 AM BST
of course not but its hard to see people just accept a hammering like that with the usual " ah sure we were lucky to qualify" line.

Dont get me wrong players are not good enough but to hear Delaney lecture on how proudest moment of the tournament was fans singing says alot

anyway ignore my previous post. its in coherent garbage (as are all my posts alot would say ;) )

people who havent visited ireland may well expect to see people in this attire on the streets
when they do .

Borneo, did you dress as a leprechaun in your youth?  If not, what did you enjoy dressing up as?
Report wildmanfromborneo June 16, 2012 3:42 PM BST
DId not need to,looked like one already.l
Look I prefer to see our youth dressing up and acting the eejit than snarling abuse at their team and engaging in random acts of violence,I understand the embarrassment factor but am prepared to accept the redner.
Report moneypenny June 16, 2012 3:53 PM BST
id just prefer for them to do neither
Report wildmanfromborneo June 16, 2012 4:24 PM BST
Not for nothing Shaw said " pity god wasted youth on the young"

dressing up with your mates in a foreign country on da píss, watching your national team for probably the first time in a major tournie, and people on here lambasting them. sad.  do ye expect them to mourn and wear black?
Report Monte Christo June 16, 2012 4:39 PM BST
Nothing wrong with the trusty replica top,a scarf and perhaps a flag.

Those outfits make us look like a shower of half-wits imo.

People wear them in the hope of being shown on tv which says it all really.

Off to watch the big nw derby so be lucky.Happy
