7.35 unaccompanied nap
no need for me to say why i,ll be having a serious bet on her..just think shes the best horse in the race..and if i can get the forcast 2/1 i,ll be happy 9.05 moonshed was given too much too to do on debut imo..and came home in his own time yards runners come on for there debuts |
By:
Hopefully Moonshed will make the market!

how come we have 3 threads for leopardstown?

As this was the first up i will treat it as the main one.A great card there tonight with two exceptional races, the Nijinsky Stakes is a fascinating contest which i have narrowed down to two,Tannery and Coral Wave both go on the ground and so unfortunately unoriginaly i go for Coral Wave. The main and best race is the Saval Beg Stakes with Unaccompanied a short priced favourite, not for me,the second favourite Saddlers Rock cannot win according to connections which brings me to the Mark Johnston trained Eternal Heart stays and according to his trainer will love the ground, doesn`t normally front run but with Joseph O`Brien on board can see him making all.The danger is the much improved Midnight Soprano she has won her last four and while it is a big step up in class these mares when they start improving it can go anywhere. My main bet will be on Midnight Soprano with a saver on Eternal Heart.
The last race looks a decent maiden, the O`Brien horse that finished fourth in the Naas maiden devalues that form which leads us to Moonshed.Dermot Weld has us all terrified this time of year,we see Galway written all over his runners and are afraid to back them but this colt goes on the ground and i think he will win, nice to see the Oppenheimer name in Irish racing. |

By:
wildman,I was just about to say that the e/w bet here (still 3 places) on Midnight Soprano might be worth a squeak against the hotpot, she has won on easy ground (not heavy though-yet
) and keeps finding a bit and finished strongly over 12 furlongs at HQ lto,I would be a little concerned that this might be a bit too soon for her as she had a hard enough race in the afore mentioned run but she has won before with similar gaps between races but I'm sure they know what they're doing with her and Chris Hayes going well at the minute. |

Down to 4 runners now and still 3 places E/W

punchestown she is 7/2 without the fav with p.p. .racing post ratings have her ahead of johnston horse and in receipt of 10 lbs from saddlers rock (on his seasonal debut )might be reasonable value.fav should be very hard to beat to be fair.
By:
Yeah oufies pal, agree the fav will be a tough nut to crack alright,Midnight Soprano is about 8/11 here on the place market to beat any 1 of the field in the race.

A few to lay tonight.
Race 1) Count Of Limonade 2.68 Now 2.12. Looks like significant improvement expected from his debut. Race 2) Tower Rock 2.92 Solid form has this one the jolly. Race 3) Capellanus 4.2 Only laid this one 20 mins ago and now into 4.2 A good spare for Murtagh. Race 4) Unaccompanied 1.85 Danehill Dancer's wouldn't get a mile and six race in a horsebox. Young Joseph go out and make it a true run race. Race 5) Diamond daze 6.8 a long price to chase out a jolly. Race 6) Emotional Dream 5.2 Kevin Prendergast has been slow all season. Race 7) El Salvador. a 3rd jolly for the O'Brien combo. As WMFB says, nice to see Oppenheimer's colours in the stable. Certainly more outside interests in the stable these days. Fitri Hay, Niarchos stable also. |

Nice tipping there from Borneo

I have to thank Punchestown again as emboldened by his comments i had a right few bets on Midnight Soprano, although i feel Saddlers Rock ran some race.
Great to see Soapp go through the card. |
By:
Indeed he did, wd Soapp, he'll have to come forward a lot in under two weeks though and i'm not sure how he gets Fame and Glory off the bridle. I've a tonne of respect for the O'Brien horse and I reckon he'd still run in the first 6 or 7 in an Arc. the only reason he is still in training is that a sexier son of Montjeu came along last year in Pour Moi, if Camelot retires at seasons end, he'll probably have another year in training. Hope he gets a proper crack of the whip at stud and not the Coolmore NH treatment.

Great to see tony57 dodged another bullet.Love to get a course on how you do it.
By:
Those courses are put on for Irelands elected Dail Members, such as Lowry, Wallace, Bertie,Enda,O'Keeffe(ned), Adams (fires the bullets in the training course),Baldy Noonan,Dev's nephew in Galway, the Mayo Flnn's were regular attendees,Mercedes O"Donoghue, sher they are full for ages, booked out me man................................the Doc in Donegal, etc. etc, etc............ could be here all day,but I must go out and back Maid to Master, eye catcher last time out
tony57 is trained to the the minit, and has ben known to catch a silver bullet and throw it back...... |
By:
Thats good to know.Im familiar with the script.Horse wins it goes Bingo my only bet.Horse beaten it goes glad i didnt back that i didnt like the colour of his underpants. Its putting it into practice is my problem.
By:
Note to self.
Never got to Leaparstown when it is a BOG. LOST MY SHIRT!!!!!!!!! ![]() |
By:
not sure what people want when you make a statement..i wanted to back unaccompanied but she was too short..and with alot of n/r only made it worse..but i can sense a touch of sarcasm..from purpose,,and jay trump..i have no problem posting my losers..(i have manny)..but i also have a few winners thats racing..but im a honest person who does not like bullshit...i see purpose didnt mention my other weld horse which lost that i did back?..maybe he could put up some winners?..one things for sure..i dont look for enemies..but i wont just let stupid comments like his go..i have to wander why he thinks i would bother with such childish comments....or is it a hint of jealousy?
By:
Tony you know some fellas just love to have a moan on here, nothing better for them to be doing with themselves.
Keep up the good posts. |
By:
thanks mckenna,..just dont understand why somone would think i would get a thrill out of saying i backed a horse if i didnt?,,win or lose..just silly and only kidding yourself..but the guy does not know me..i wonder whats in his head?
By:
tony57,don't let "them" grind you down, you're one of the few on here who offers opinions BEFORE a race commences which helps people get a feel for what's fancied by others.
By:
fair dues to you tony you say what you think and arnt afraid to.the ground beat unaccompanied and 1m 6f on the flat is stretching it any way i think.you and soapp and royal academy are people whos post i read and heed.thanks
By:
Tony57, I'm on your side, and meant no offence, anyone can have a change of mind, my post was just a bit of a laff at the political clowns, and any reference to you (silverbullet), = sharpness, btw I regard you as the bumper king and always chek for your posts especially if I fancy one in a bumper..........keep posting and don't mind silly old me.....................................
By:
I am jealous. So jealous. If i could only miss those losers like you Tony and then i could come on here throwing bouquets at myself. You have this game by the short and curlies. In future im just going to follow your tipping line. All i ask is that when your going to duck one you might tell me before the race.
By:
i dont understand what you find so awful about a post of mine?..one thing i can say is i havent seen you put a tip up?..thats not a problem if you are just reading and making your own opinion..but its the sign of a hypocrite to then have a go co,s you find something you dont like..i give a opinion,..right or wrong there are no splinters in my arse....but i think you may be one of these sad types who just look for things to say to upset people with?
jay please except my apologies..i took what you said the wrong way..i can take criticism about my picks thats only right..its a good thing to have others tell you were you are wrong.imo.. |
By:
If you tip one, a nap selection indeed, and come back after it's lost saying you actually didn't back it after all... then you make yourself look a t!t and deserve abuse imo
By:
He said he wanted 2/1
He might have settled for 7/4 Anything less including 1/1 or less would make him an idiot to back it. Anyone that cannot see that should not be punting. |
By:
ok pre fat,..did you see the part about getting the price?..no one deserves abuse..some really nasty sorts turning up here....i wont be replying to any more of this crap..ive said all i want to...
By:
thanks for making that point bassanio,..i posted the night before when all were running..i did not know there would be 4 n/r..and she would be so short..just replying to your point..enough is enough...i think i,ll give this thread a miss for a while..i seem to attract abuse...
By:
Never going to be splinters up your arse when you come on after and say you have no bet when there beat. How im a hypocrite for showing you up as an aftertimer is amusing and im glad to see its not lost on some on here. The two posters under your how clever i am thread saw the irony as well.
By:
bit harsh on OP guys; he's virtually kept the racing threads going on his own here for months and to pick one isolated incident when he DID mention a price he wanted is unfair and annoys contributors to the extent that they disappear as no-one wants vitriole when they're trying their best. Leopardstown last night was a law unto itself and if OP is Henry Rix he needs to be contacting his clients telling them he's having second thoughts; if he's tony57 he minds his own dough.
One thing I've learned (and wildman gave me valuable advice on my old NH thread) is that you can give your reasons and let others decide what they want to do after that. so a piece of advice to posters is to mention what you fancy but probablty best to keep your investments to your self. |
