Great call from Tyler for the Aguero goal. They have some great players in Hart, Kompany, Toure, Silva and Aguero. Those 5 are as good as you will get anywhere. They deserve it.

Not following the logic here.
Game changing events happen towards the end of all sports . HTH. |
|
By:
Not just the ending but the whole game the day itself you'd never get that in another sport alongside the with the skill and passion, you might 1 or 2 things but no way the whole lot as you do with football. Roll on the Euros lads is all i can say.

Great finish to the League today though in fairness. Shame we had to wait 23 years since the last great finish.
Also let me be the first to congratulate City on buying their first title. At the end of the day, that's what football is really all about. |

Rocketfingers never heard of Seamus Darby, never heard of Joe Dooley, never heard of Ronan O`Gara, never heard of Laurent Fignon, never heard of the Japanese Grand Prix, never heard of Joe Montana, never heard of Olympic basketball in Munich, never heard of Tina Lillak, never heard of Dennis Taylor although it is hardly surprising bearing in mind his previous form.

Japanese Grand Prix ? It's not even the biggest F1 race, what's so special about that? Now Spa Francorchamps in the Ardennes forest is a circuit worth visiting. Eau Rouge how i would love to drive full pelt up that instead of walking up it like i did lol.

Are you deliberately obtuse, are you unable to follow even the simplest of posts.
You created this thread yet seem unaware of its content, its the low attention span kicking in again. The Japanese Grand Prix is generally the last one and has been the scene of some exciting championship battles, the great Ayrton Senna against the poor Alain Prost twice and even James Hunt beating the previously injured Nikki Lauda so to spell it out exciting finishes. |
|
By:
Ok i see the angle you're coming at, i don't think the Japanese GP has been the last GP for a few years now, the OZ was for many years the last GP, have you ever been to any races mate? You probably never watched F1 down in Tipp until recently as you would not have been able to get the English channels?

A super finish to the premiership today and fair play to Man City. A GAA club near me had a special if Aguero scored there was one free drink per person. The pub had a similar special but had Ryan Giggs as the nominated person. These types of promotions seem to be all the go to get punters in.
The soocer is over, the GAA championship starts next week and then the Euros.......should be a good summer. |
|
By:
The GAA Championship won't get a look in until the national team are out of the Euro's Gant.

Never been to a Grand Prix but was at Brands Hatch, the one circuit i would love to see is the Nurburgring not the modern one but the original but the one where it took ten minutes per lap.

Some great moments. Mike Powell another, Michael Jordan v Utah, Vernon Davis in the great 49ers v Saints game this year, Roche on La Plagne, College Causeway down the back catching Oran Classic. It's why we love sport. |

Not by choice Rocketfingers.

Chelsea have quite a bit of support in Ireland but they would be mainly in the 45+ bracket at this stage.
The recent Chelsea sides have not garnered much support. |
|
By:
Rocketfingers........you would be surprised. I meet and know loads of Irish who go over to stamford bridge. Most have no interest in politics or religion only sport.
Look at the thousands who go over to Anfield every second week and Everton the Catholic club.......some appreciate sport and don't care about the gutter stuff. |

wildbore aka dark rosaleen has gone mental again on the horse forum bcos i exposed him, sad, very sad

Glory hunters maybe gant, No Irish that no the history of Chelsea support them.

Sure most soccer clubs have the scumbag element.......it's part of the game.

It was a great days entertainment, but in terms of standard it's the worst premier league in about a decade.
Ok i see the angle you're coming at, i don't think the Japanese GP has been the last GP for a few years now, the OZ was for many years the last GP No Australian Grand Prix has always been the first except the year it moved to Melbourne where it was 3rd. |

Soccer has become so boring and painful to watch in recent years. Rugby is miles better, although some of the new laws need to be changed. Yesterday was a day to remember alright for the Premiership, but it is an isolated one. Sport should be like a movie, a thriller maybe, with twists and turns. My fav sporting memory was when we beat England in the world cup cricket. Kevin O Brien hitting a record 100 from 50 balls and hitting a record 6. Also Dennis Taylor beating Davis.

No Australian Grand Prix has always been the first except the year it moved to Melbourne where it was 3rd.
From 1985 to 1995 it was the last race and was held in Adalade, it only changed when it was moved to Melbourne. |

fair enough corrected I had it the wrong way round. I'm a bit young but had always remembered Suzuka as the track were championships were often decided.

By:
There were plenty of Chelsea supporters in Landsdowne Road the day the seats were thrown onto the pitch.

how any irish man can follow chelsea with there right wing anti irish element is beyond me,but like everything irish we are all into the english football, sad but true,

The GAA Championship won't get a look in until the national team are out of the Euro's Gant. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- Very little impact because of the times, in the evenings. Nobody's that bothered outside of Irish and possibly English matches, and just one of them on a Sunday evening, so even then wont have much impact. (As other posters said, cant beat NFL for great finishes). |
|
By:
I'll think you'll find huddys this right wing element could've just as easy of attached themselves to West Ham or any other London club for that matter, football is just a convenient tool for their thuggery, most of the members of the so called Chelsea head hunters are just in it for the fun of it an excuse for a mill up who couldn't care less about the right wing ideology they claim to represent.
The vast majority of Chelsea supporters are genuine and law abiding the colour of your skin or nationality doesn't even cross their mind. I've seen plenty of tri colours displayed at Stamford bridge during games. |
|
By:
NFL is excellent to be fair Wallflower,
huddys unreal can't understand it man at all, some of the new posh Irish during the boom went over to watch Chelsea the ordinary man would never go near the place. |
|
By:
Just incase rocketfingers you're putting me in that bracket I've been following Queens Park Rangers near neighbours and rivals of Chelsea since I was knee high to a grasshopper.

No i'm doubt never even seen your reply when i posted SG.
Anyway i was once at a LC semi final in a game involving Chelsea many moons ago. Chelsea won and i was in a town in the North West with 2 buddies of mine taking in the game. We got chatting these lads a father and 2 of his sons and his friend in the pub and they were just normal Chelsea fans taking in the game and celebrating and flying down to London tomorrow as one of them had to take a plane back down as it was up there being repaired. Got chatting them nice chaps probably ex head hunters i'd guess but that did not put us off as there was great auld banter flying about. After the pub myself and my 2 buddies with 2 of the headhunters decided to go for chicken and chips in a take-away. Some local lads heard their accent when ordering and started giving it the large one, i said this is going to kick off as the headhunters ain't backing down. Anyway they were out numbered they looked at us as if to say you can help us out or watch us getting a kicking, we stood our ground shoulder to shoulder with the headhunters, the locals seen us and decided to leave also with there chicken and chips. Anyway they came over and just nodded to us as much to say we owe ye. The one thing they asked us was what religion we were, which i thought was odd. I just finished my chicken and chips and wished them luck in the final, never seen them again but they are quite right wing i'd say. |
