Might be a silly question but are the first four races on the flat, with flat jockeys? Or was I imagining it earlier?

It's a mixed card playthegameboy
irishracing.com Clonmel's mixed card on Thursday begins at 5.40 with the Clonmel Hospice Support Group Maiden, in which popular jumper Won In The Dark has his first outing on the level for almost three years. Rebel Fitz has been mixing it with the very best staying novice hurdlers and has his maiden start on the Flat, while Jacksonslady, third to Alderwood in a Grade 2 at Fairyhouse when last seen, is also better known for her National Hunt exploits. Emotional Dream has been campaigned solely on the Flat by Kevin Prendergast and, stepping up in distance following a couple of placed efforts, may be the one to beat. The biggest prize on the card goes to the winner of the SEPAM Tipperary Perpetual Cup and 2010 winner Galianna is back for more. She is fit from a stint over obstacles but, on official ratings in that sphere, she has something to find with the likes of Idarah, Mister Carter and Headford Flyer. Gan Locht denied Daytime Dreamer at Dundalk and attempts to confirm her superiority in division one of the Clonmel Hospice Support Group Handicap, while third home Mutiska sets the standard in the second instalment. The jumping action starts with the Clonmel Hospice Support Group Maiden Hurdle and Roman Flight tries his hand in this sphere on the back of a couple of promising Flat performances. Tugboat showed little on his debut for Edward O'Grady but, with the run under his belt, could be the biggest threat on his hurdling bow. His stable companion Crocus Bay boasts the best form in the Clonmel Hospice Support Group Flat Race but, as ever, Willie Mullins saddles an interesting newcomer in the shape of Mr Groocock. Coldwinters returned from a layoff when springing a 20/1 surprise at Kilbeggan last week and won't be anything like that price in the Clonmel Hospice Support Group Handicap Hurdle. |

thanks tyronesam,
i think the tizzard horse could be ok for this time of year but as long as his jumping holds up? |
|
By:
Id have ground reservations over Kings Lad, rather than whether he can jump. He certainly wont want it too deep. However im sure Mr Tizzard will know more than me. Gl all

would be slightly more worried about Pipe horse but stii think tizzards should win this

The ground at Clonmel has softened further following rain this morning. The going is now soft, soft to heavy in places having been soft when officials first looked. The early morning description was following 8mm of rain overnight and the going at declaration had been good to soft. The forecast is for the rain to clear later. The ground at Killarney ahead of their three-day fixture, which starts on Sunday, is now soft having previously been yielding |

Baresi 1st winner for trainer since 2008- Irish racing.com report makes for interesting reading
|
|
By:
Luckily Mr. Long was ably assisted by someone who knows a thing or two about gambles. It will be interesting if the Turf Club decide to dig into this one.

By:
im delighted for the man..looks like a plot...hope he made enough to last another 4yrs

Wonder did CB get a few quid?!!
|
|
By:
Baresi found himself in Ballingarry.
|
|
By:
Well it wasn't Long that punted him anyway Willy! I'm surprised this angle doesn't get tried more often.

My reading of the situation would be that the boys that bought Baresi left him in Longs name to get there touch eg. yesterday, but what i dont understand is why would CB risk losing his license over this.. fair enough he got a touch yesterday but for the high profile winners he is having... is it worth the bother
