To me its a bit of gas and i enjoy it,sometimes i can`t help it a poster comes on attacking me with a user name from literature which he has misspelt you have to reply,Rocketfingers corrects people about racing at Punchestown,he states there were no chases naturally wrong on two counts, there was three chases on the Tuesday, then claims the La Touche is not a chase.
You have a fair point but it is like an open goal with some of these posters and i just can`t resist. |

Open goal...pffft.
It would appear that Percy Bysshe Shelley and I have something in common when it comes to spelling. The name OzymandiasÓ refers to Ramses II (Ramses the Great), third king of the 19th dynasty of Egypt. "Ozymandias" is actually a flawed spelling of the first part of Rames's name. I have no doubt that Shelley would not have objected to my subsequent re-interpretation ![]() Oh and by the way, Ozymandias, however one spells it, is a jolly appropriate name to post under on a gambling forum. It represents possibly the finest ever outcome to any bet ever placed. Three English men sat around a table at a drunken party. The men bet each other that each of them could come up with the best poem in the alotted time of fifteen minutes. The poem's topic was Egypt. The poem Ozymandias was the response of Percy Bysshe Shelley to the bet. |

And anyway, surely anything is better than being named after one half of a set of retarded dwarf brothers from Barnum's circus freak show!

Another open goal,Wildmanfromborneo was the Wexford horse who won the 1895 Aintree Grand National.
The story about the drunken party and the bet is nonsense,i presume you are going to pretend Keats was one of the English men. |
|
By:
And where on earth do you think the horse owners dreamed up the name??? You numpty!
And yes, Keats was there. The third man was of course Michael Tabor. It was an early example of him being the patsy at the table. I'm surprised that you weren't aware of that. Back of the net! |
|
By:
You never heard of the horse which is hardly surprising,if someone were to call themselves Nijinsky here it is a fair assumption he is naming himself after the horse but Ozymandius who probably hasn`t heard of the horse will assume it is after the dancer or Colin Bell.
Your knowledge of freak shows is impressive however |

WMFB was an excellent poster i even remember him posting some tips, fav and always odds on, but jeez he had a near 50% strike rate. He then seemed to run Workrider out of here for no good reason. I think he's lost it, hopefully it's not the bad favs coming back to bite him. I remember one day posting on threads here and within minutes he had replied with nasty comments to all 3. Would be great to see the old WMFB, i would be the first to call him friend !

I do miss workrider on here

If WMFB apologised for what his role in chasing Workrider out of here, i would nearly accept it at this stage and move on. It would be great if he did not have to be prompted though.

You know thats not true Rocketfingers,Agree with Soldieroffortune and same can be said for DingleMick.

The best tipster is on this thread and it isin`t me but why Rocketfingers would want tips is a mystery as he doesn`t bet.
I like these battles and have lost my inspiration because three times during some of these set tos i called a truce and somehow dredged up a long priced winner,my favourite one being Safari Sunup on the Gorey Post Office thread but failed to come up with anything on this. |

Did workrider come up with the dosh for the tipping competition?

By:
Of course he would congratulate you if yours won. If he is betting in reasonable amounts (you have mentioned them before and they are sizeable but not huge) then it is as much a business for him as anything else.
Your betting would appear to be fun as much as anything else, although you seem to be quite good at. Naturally a friend of yours would be happy when you click. If he reacted any other way to losing, than the calm manner that you suggest, he would have left the game years ago. |

norn a superb comment from you there as always mate. Hey wish him all the best from me - but please God don't tell him I said that I miss him on here!

A great description of someone who is obviously a close friend Norn Iron and yes i miss him on here. When he left the posters who crawled out of the woodwork to give a cowardly last kick are the ones i am in conflict with and i enjoy showing them up,the cut and thrust of battle should be enjoyable for both the participants and the spectators.
db74 means well and probably lives a very ordered life but if all the posts were anodyne this would be a dull place,i never get insulted,i don`t mind what they call me but this thread is a good example of the open goals i am given.Ozymandius comes on trying to explain the misspelling with a bit of bluffing then invents a story about three poets and finally because his only knowledge is google knowledge completely misinterprets my user name, naturally he never heard of the horse who was born in Wexford. He appears to be either Paddy Whacker or a defender of him, they were offended by my saying they were stilted, didn`t understand spontaneity and constricted by nervousness, their response, everything should be checked and double checked you can imagine how funny it was that the poster screaming check everything couldn`t even spell his user name right. |
|
By:
Whatever my life is like, I don't want to keep logging on here to see you and others sniping at each other on every single thread. To be honest I'm sick to the teeth of it and I'm fairly sure 99% of other members are too.

We know from your posts what your life is like, boring like your job.You need to toughen up and lose this sensitivity you may be protected from reality now but things can always change,if you dislike my posts don`t read them and that goes for the other dull boring restricted unimaginative posters that find you interesting.

Well my life isn't so boring that I feel the need to stalk others around an anonymous internet forum. Is this what you call entertainment?

![]() I have a funny feeling Wildbore ain't the marrying type ![]() |

You create a thread about me and yet you somehow think i am doing the stalking, this forum is not as anonymous as you think as we know you are 38 years of age work for the government have had a sheltered city life and are afraid of your shadow.
