By Bachelor Duke and out of a useful 8.5f winner, from the family of Grand Criterium winners Lost World and Fijar Tango. Caught the eye at Leopardstown last term and should do better.
Currently 6.6 to lay! Is this not the biggest lay of all time? 12th of 18 in an ordinary maiden for Leopardstown and Timeform say it was an eyecatcher. If this is not 33/1 with the books in the morning than it will be a head scratcher.
Nothing like starting the flat season by laying a dead one.

Definitely would nt be a backer at the current 6/1 - Shebella would nt have to be anything out of the ordinary to take this i reckon

Some1 got their pricing of Madeira Girl extremely wrong - was plenty to lay at 7 all mornin and was taken down to 5.3

It was the 100 @ 7 man that skewed the market. I backed MG down to 5.3 to get the other to drift. I got the Oxx horse out to 8.2 at one stage and by the time Bet365 traders copied the market all the rows were in place.

Johnny is going down for the one ride on Shebella but as against that Oxx is not usually firing them in in March ( granted the dry mild spring he might have the string more forward ) and also the breeding suggests a horse likely to need 10f more than 7.

Must have been those shiny soles on his new shoes that gave him problems, didnt seem to go on the ground last night. Wonder how many regular punters were there out of the 12,000??? Would have been mad to be amongst that lot. |
