Nice winner 4.15 .  Good to see her back and in winning form .  She was off for a long time during the winter .

Nothing rider really, her type of ability is ten a penny in all fairness.AW of a monday is her level,if she never rode again she'd hardly be much of a loss.

She's probably the best flat lady jockey in Ireland or England at the moment.

Nothing rider?????????????????? That is a very harsh comment. She is doing as well as  well as can be expected for someone who's sirname isn't O'Brien' Walsh, Mullins, Berry, Mc Donagh, Manning etc.

Whatever about her ability(think she a good strong jockey myself) she obviously has the courage and love of horses to do what shes doing and don,t think it,s fair to be critical there mincer.

Agreed - cCthy is an honest trier , dedicated and skilful who has got to where she is against considerable odds.
She has quite a record of accomplishment already -champion apprentice in Ireland which means a lot given the great tradition of jockeyship there -and under the tutelage of John Oxx -a universally admired figure.
She has clocked up about 300 winners and I hope she manages a few hundred more .
Hope she gets better quality rides . She's had only one ride in a Group race and duly won ( Dingle View at the Curragh)
It's almost impossible to break into the upper echelon as all the top jobs are locked up -hard not just for Cathy but for many other equally talented riders. Jockey's life a tough one for 95 % of them .

She may well be better than Turner, very possibly so.The thing is that women riders cannot be as good as their male counterparts at whatever level they ride. There is no such sport that both male and female are on a level playing field, there never has been.Being the best lady rider in Britain quite possibly equates with being the 20th best male rider, hardly a definition of greatness. Not saying that she hasnt done well for herself as her sex will always hamper her from making it into the big time.

^Samantha Bell beat Ireland,s finest with a great ride on what many would consider a donkey in the 6.25 there.
