Gmac still finished second to Tiger despite not playing all that well tonight .  Still its a good sign , best for a while .

another good performance from mc dowell. however he has only won once on the pga tour in 86 starts, but it was a major.

Considering the pre start prices for Gmac over those 86 tournaments , poorish win record . But if we all just calculated odds on pure statistical basis guess nobody would be having too many bets on basis of value . I much prefer trying to back players for a top 5 or 10 finish , at least you draw money 5 or 10 times as often ( statistically anyway ) .
