Race 1) Daffern Seal (Nap) Heard word at Naas on Sunday that this could be Weld's dark horse for the week.

Race 2) Monksland. Noel Meade has at last learnt how to lay a horse out for Cheltenham and this unbeaten gelding can show them the way home.

Race 3) First Lieutenant. Six weeks ago Michael O'Leary was on with Ivan Yates for an hour long chat on Newstalk Breakfast and this was the one he nominated then as his best hope of a winner. The ground and trip will suit.

Race 4) Sizing Europe. Andrew Lynch has been touting this one at the Cheltenham previews as a banker to follow up.

Race 5) Get Me Out Of Here. Had no luck when hampered badly in the Schweppes at Newbury has his chance of compensation.

Race 6) No selection. As Davy Russell says these four year old hurdles are pure lotterys.

Race 7) Moscow Mannon. Young Lavery who rides out for Mullins syas there is nothing in that yard to touch this one. That will do for me.

1.30 Allee Garde - (and now Daffern Seal, Thanks soappWink
2.05 Monksland - originally had Boston Bob but that AP bet went west!
2.40 First Lieutenant
3.20 Sizing Europe Nap
4.00 No bet
4.40 Vendor - (A King has been telling everyone how he's been minding Vendor's mark for this one!)
5.15 New Year's Eve - (20/1 A/P). I just hope that if Mikey O'C runs Clonbanan Lad that he gets away with it,
think the ground could be good by 5.15 tomorrow evening. If it does rain, I'll be getting stuck in!

Good luck all!

1.30 no strong thoughts here, liked allee gardes Clonmel run, jumps well and handles good, lot in here don,t know what to make of,small play at around 7/1(same price for daffren seal for a place, think i,ll follow you smalltime soapp)
2.00 again no strong thoughts, liked the manner of monkslands wins, also have a high regard for sous les cieux, simonsig held in high regard but jumping issues might leave alone or place lay of simonsig for interest.
2.40 Like Grand crus here, enough they were almost gold cup bound. bobs worth jumping poor at Ascot maybe a place lay, call the police travelled well at leop, might get a place.
3.20 Big Zeb looks a free ew,
4.00 Quite interested in Balgarry here on a line through Nampour/paintball/sire de grugy/darlan.,unexposed and bottom weight, wouldn,t have to improve a lot on lto.
4.40 a speculative ew here on argocat, first 2 miles clear at Thurles.
5.15 Not my favourite race, find it hard to get any angle usually,if not skint might do a small ew on Jezki.

One bet. Finnians Rainbow is the best bet of a very shrewd friend of mine. That will do me.

Harry the Viking - Small interest bet, looks an out and out stayer.
Simonsig - Token selection. Won't have a bet in the race.
First Lieutenant - Ground should be in his favour. Will have a small win and back him w/o Grand Crus.
Sizing Europe - Very hard to see anything beating him on form. Fences the only danger.
Dare Me - Hoping he can jump better than he has done to date. Step up in trip and his mark look fine to me.
Vendor - Value is probably gone but can't really find anything else I'd want to back in the race.
Royal Guardsman - Don't rate any of the Irish horses really. This fella looks rock solid.

Newmanix had the first two and Ramon went for the big one.

Overall not so good tipping.

Henderson is on a roll. McCain is shrewd. Rebecca seems to have a lot of Irish people behind her and finally well done the Mullins's with the bumper success.
