Race 1) Gallileo's Choice. Will love the better ground and being by Gallileo will have that bit of speed. Darlan had a horrible fall at Newbury. Steps To Freedom has been off too long and the form is weak.
Race 2) Sprinter Sacre. Only needs to stand up to take this one at his ease.
Race 3) No selection. I will leave tis one to the form students.
Race 4) Hurricane Fly (Nap) At almost evens this is manna from heaven. Made mincemeat of the opposition in the Irish Champion hurdle at the end of January.
Race 5) Sizing Australia. At 5/1 is an e/w bet to nothing. A CD winner this one has been laid out for this by protecting his handicap mark.
Race 6) Quevega. Yet another Irish winner looks on the cards as Willie's mare looks to repeat her feat of 2011.

Norn Scarily I have the same selections except have to go for Hurricane Fly.Think Maljimar will go well without Daryl Jacob. What about your mate Byrnes horse Trifolium? In the mares what about Shop Dj-recent winner at Dundalk?

Midnight Game Mullins thinks the better ground will see him with a real chance of going close, Paul had the choice and choose MG, reports of an off day in training but we all have the odd bad day....dont we, and the price looks decent now 18/1 on here!
Sprinter Sacre Because hes a monster
Magnanimity With Hughes horses running a bit better this lads effort in last years RSA must give him a chance here, not to many in the field have proved they handle cheltenham, could b a big danger to the fav getting 11lbs
Hurricane Fly See Sprinter Sacre
ScotsIrish I said after he took the wrong course lto he'd win at Cheltenham in March, talk of not staying the trip is hardly a worry, they jog around the course for 3 miles and then they start cranking it up towards the end. Its not like the end to end gallops this grade 1 performer has been used to throughout his career. The class act.
Quevega No real opposition to trouble the classy mare
Bless the Wings Nice win here in January, looks a good prospect
Best of luck to all

Hard to see past the 3 hot pots today . Al Ferof will in Ruby style be out of his ground early , so the fav will probably drop in price straight after the off . Thats the early strategy here anyway . Best of luck to all .

1.30 - Trifolium / Dylan Ross (green up Dylan Ross in running - should travel well)
2.05 - Menorah - LAY Sprinter Sacre (LAY Sprinter Sacre in running, keep an eye on Al Ferof at bottom off hill and possibly back him in running)
2.40 - Mossley E/W / will have a few quid on Magnanimity in the hope the better ground brings an improvement
Hurricane Fly & Quevega doubled and trebled with Big Bucks

Very rough opening race, bit puzzled by Steps To Freedom & Gallileo's Choice sitting so far back off a pace that didn't look that hectic,Trifolium not helped by the bump turning in but wouldn't have won without it.

Hurricane Fly didn't seem to travel well today, sweated up before the race and got a little close to a couple, didn't think the winner had the pace to win this.

That ground on the chase course looked like a road imo.
An each way tickle on Shop Dj here with a bit more on the place part.

Sad for the connections of both horses, if that race was on tomorrow or Thursday it probably would not have been run, with no watering on that maze of a course. RIP.

Whatever about the merits of that mares race that's some achievement by horse and trainer to win it 4 years on the bounce.
Finally gets us on the scoreboard as well.
Exactly McKenna totally agree with you.Whatever about the merits of that mares race that's some achievement by horse and trainer to win it 4 years on the bounce. Finally gets us on the scoreboard as well.
Well done lads. All winners mentioned bar the big winner Rock On Ruby.
Race 1) Cinders and Ashes 10/1 Always in the van. the surprise was that she was available at 12/1 up to about two out. I know as I had laid it earlier in the day so should have got out. Gallileo's Choice (6/1f) was never mapped.
Race 2) Sprinter Sacre 8/11f A cakewalk as we all agreed.
Race 3) Alfie Sherrin 14/1 Came from behind to beat long time leader Fruity O'Rooney who Thommo tipped up to Pat Kenny this morning. Was the best steamer for this race on oddschecker when I was doing my placepot this morning. Delighted for young McLernon who has been short of winners this year. Quantativingeasing (11/2jf) was going backwards from the top of the hill.
Race 4) Rock On Ruby 11/1 Won unbelieveably easy to give Noel Fehily a much deserved turn in the limelight. It was a race nicholls badly wanted to win to complete the full set at Cheltenham. Hurricane Fly 4/6f was rowing along from before two out and plugged on for third.
Race 5) Balthazar King 11/2 Up there all the way and just outlasted the old man of the party A New Story. Scotsirish (10/3f) RIP
Race 6) Quevega 4/7f. Normal service resumed as she came there at the last for a comprehensive win.
Race 7) Hunt Ball 13/2f A third jolly of the day winning by eight lengths. Trained by K Burke associated with a great mare who was runner up to Quevega last year.
