FOLLOWING the announcement of 1,000 jobs for Dundalk by PayPal, the head of the town’s Chamber of Commerce, Paddy Malone, stated that this investment will have a “wide reaching effect” on the local area and put the region on the map.

Speaking to the Dundalk Democrat only moments after being informed by RTE of the jobs boost this morning, Mr Malone stated that this is the “biggest thing to happen to Dundalk since the visit of Bill Clinton over ten years ago.”

I laid it at 4.3 and now it's 3.75 unfortunately.

In hindsight it has a right chance.

Top class over hurdles taking on maiden flat scrubbers is usually what I back when on track.

usually give the card 3/4 hours of studying on fridays but was a bit hung over today

one I like the look of is Heroine Chic in the 19:50
lightly raced and consistent placing on 3 of 4 starts at dundalk
she ran a good few lbs above her hdp mark in the claimer against aragorn rouge and danick of time
collins has a good strike rate and is in good form
poor draw though

in the 20:20 discovery bay looks like value with recent track form against a lot ok unknowns at short prices

denny crane will prob need the run and lynham will get stuck behind a horses on the inside but as a big fan of his i'll be cheering him on

That was some laugh there wiyh the Weaver+Harvie thinking Bubbly Bellini, hmm hmm funny ride, sher ladz I dont think he's ever won over 7f so obvious whats goin on.... get down the handicap a bit and back in distance...... chance then maybe ?? keep an eye on it Wink

I'm just in but you get the impression these maiden races in Dundalk are decided before hand.
Eusepio has raced seven times yet is now backed off the boards and as the favourites always seem to win Dundalk maidens will probably collect but it still is a dreadful price,makes you think this is one for the lads.

Johnny Murtagh is back in action at Dundalk tomorrow evening when he takes two mounts on the seven race card.

The Meath man broke his collarbone around the turn of the year. He had been skiing in Austria and at the time he marked down the start of the turf flat season, at the end of March, as a definite return date.
However the 42-year-old is back well before then. Amazingly the former champion has never broken any bone in his riding career.

Tomorrow night on the polytrack, Murtagh rides Dansili Dual (Andrew Tinkler/Tommy Carmody) in the 8.20 whilst in the concluding 9.20, he gets the leg-up on Eddie Lynam's Denny Crane
