Could Padraig be about to start a climb back towards the top tier ?
7th place in California very encouraging ....got  birdies by the bucketful but again the dread double bogeys dragged him down .....
plus - why can't he score better at the par 5s ?
He was an incredible one over for the par fives throughoput whereas Mickelson was 9 under . That was the tournament right there.

I backed harry pre tournament at 75/1......he was tipping along grand until he exploded yesterday over his last three holes. he can play as well as he likes but if he continues to lose it like that then he is gone at the game.

it will take some convincing before I invest again vubiant

i think so too. maybe a windy open will be the return to the big time.

But Fayzer -he came down to about 5.7/1 ...did you not think of greening up at that stage ?
A windy Open may well suit but if he can hold his head together I wouldn't rule out a good run at Augusta.

Need to see him regularly getting into contention again before I'd call it a revival. He had a few Top 10s early last year in America too, which proved to be somewhat of a false dawn.

It was a real shame how his third round ended up, as we'd probably have learned a little more if he was right in the thick of it today.

Really hope he goes on to have a good year.

Did not see any of him this week as I am away foreign , but have been keeping an eye on Padraig for the last few months as I sensed improvement from a pretty awful 2 years or so .

Has he got a new guy on board ?  Read something about that elswhere , but would like confirmation before entering the investing procedure . Hope he is on an upward move  , we will take any good news gratefully these days .

The coach he's started working with is Dave Alred ( Ph.D MBE ) who has an impressive CV of working with teams and individuals in a variety of sports ( incl. e.g. Ronan O'Gara ,Gaelic Football ) specialising in helping top flight sports performers deal with high pressure situations.
Padraig seems very enthused about the difference he senses already ( Alredy ? )

Signs have been there for a few weeks, even allowing for his own Bull*****ing about how happy he is with his game. If he can stay out of his own way things looking promising for the first time in a ling time. Be great to see him contend in big ones again. Still has an amazing short game.

Yeah, 24 putts on Sunday was phenomenal. As many have said, if he can avoid the doubles, especially at the par 5's, deffo a win coming in the next few months.

24 putts on sunday...great advertisement for this McLoughlin fellas new grip invention the P2, which I read harrington has taken a shine to. Was in indo the other day.

Jesus he'll make some money if it takes off

Yes this could be something huge for both these men. If harrington were to win this week I am sure he would tell the world about this new grip. I am sure that every dodgy putter on the planet would be looking to try it out.best of luck to both
