Great article from a paper in basically another country. Mentions how all the young talent is being snapped up and how the league had improved and the fact the Premiership clubs are raving about how fit the players are when these hot young prospects arrive on their door step. Great read.
good article alright, what do you think of cook suppose to be leaving you,not a great prep to the new season rocket,do you think foster might take over when he goes?think sligo would be too big a job for him

no chance the second thing, the first i honestly don't know huddys, i think he's gone but .... Not ideal preparation at, i have not spoke to any of the players either to see what the story is in there but would say only one man knows what's going on.

Have you managed to hold onto the majority of your players for the coming season ?
Are there any new additions.
Always like the trip to Sligo and have a lot of time for Paul Cook.

The Belfast Telegraph is a paper from a different country is another gem from Rocketfingers not as good as Muslims respect women sure they won`t allow them work. Imagine someone from Sligo who never heard of Jack B Yeats and thought the name was spelt Yates.

Missing Richie Ryan Monte and Eoin Doyle but overall could be argued better squad. Doyle came up with some really important goals but Richie was off his game for the vast majority of the season last year, but still will be a loss. Big signing for us is this Boco lad. Who do you follow Monte?
Wildclown what are you on about dude? I said "basically from another country" and what are you mumbling about Yates for? Sligo is known as the Yates county you know, there is a bit of poet in us all. :)

This is basically our poetry national anthem of Sligo, i may have missed a word or two as i just wrote this off the top of my head.
The Lake Isle Of Innisfree
I WILL arise and go now, and go to Innisfree, And a small cabin build there, of clay and wattles made: Nine bean-rows will I have there, a hive for the honey-bee, And live alone in the bee-loud glade.
And I shall have some peace there, for peace comes dropping slow, Dropping from the veils of the morning to where the cricket sings; There midnight's all a glimmer, and noon a purple glow, And evening full of the linnet's wings.
I will arise and go now, for always night and day I hear lake water lapping with low sounds by the shore; While I stand on the roadway, or on the pavements grey, I hear it in the deep heart's core.

AT GALWAY RACES
by: W. B. Yeats (1865-1939)
THERE where the course is, Delight makes all of the one mind, The riders upon the galloping horses, The crowd that closes in behind: We, too, had good attendance once, Hearers and hearteners of the work; Aye, horsemen for companions, Before the merchant and the clerk Breathed on the world with timid breath. Sing on: somewhere at some new moon, We'll learn that sleeping is not death, Hearing the whole earth change its tune, Its flesh being wild, and it again Crying aloud as the racecourse is, And we find hearteners among men That ride upon horses.

Another Country, that's some bait to dangle. The article is more about how bad the Irish FA league is then anything else.
The LOI have benefited from more diverse academies in England, Bringing in players from all over the world means they are less Irish lads on schoolboy forms with the English clubs. The off shot is that young Irish players have as much chance if they play in Ireland at youth level. The standard has held strong despite the disappearance of money in recent years.
I think claims about clubs raving about how fit the players where are a bit OTT. McClean didn't play for Sunderland untill Christmas. Obviously despite all this apparent raving of his fitness and ability they had to play him in the reserves for 5-6 months.

It'll be a tough season for us this year but a lot of young local talent will play their part this season.
That's good news for yourselves well regarding the squad though losing Cook would be a blow.

Squigs the article states they were amazed at his fitness when he 'went over' and fair play to Monte and the boys. Their fitness is at a unique level in Ireland
Monte ya it looks that way, sad to see him go as he had us playing nice ball.

Paul Merson remarked that Graham Geraghty was one of the fittest players he had ever seen. They weren't gonna say he turned up a stone overweight but he didn't get a game at Sunderland for 5 months which says more about how raw he is.

Squigs he did not get a game under Steve Bruce who is a useless manager MON comes in and he's straight into the team. More a case of Bruce not knowing what he had. But it's great to see the difference between the best league and the EPL is very little and nothing in terms of fitness according to Sunderland FC, i'd think they know a bit more than me or you :)
