When it comes to how we treat our race goers, why did Navan not cover part of the course or the chase course like they do at the British courses? I see Carlise had the covers out, why not Navan? Do Irish racecourses not think of their customers?

Of course the topic should be "We're still" not "Where still", suffering with the effects of a flu chaps.

When did they decide to pospone the 3 chases Rocket? I persume be running 4 races it means the customers are not entitled to anything back, i think it's 3 races in the dogs.

Just before the bumper, to be fair they give it every chance for it to happen naturally. But it's not good enough if you're hoping to attact people to racing and inward investment into the sport. Customers were short changed there today in a time when people are really are very consious of value for money of something.

Racegoers were not short changed at Navan today, they got 4 races two grade twos and a grade one and saw a champion.
Your knowledge of financial affairs must be in currency trading and bond markets because the cost of covering tracks is prohibitive.
In fairness it is good to see you take up the slack.

In fairness a rank handicap chase and 2 terrible novices chase's. I think people generally would be delighted the way the day panned out and the weather being so cold.

If the cost is prohibitive why did a small track like Carlise do it in England today? Why can't a grade 1 track like Navan do it here? Answer those questions please Wildman

Wildclown most people would not know the difference between a grade 1 is or a 0-95 handicap, espicially new racegoers. They paid in to watch 7 races they'd have expected 7 races they were short changed getting 1 and half hours entertainment for the 3 hours they should have had. The racing industry needs to become self-sufficient and that means attracting more racegoers through the gate and keep them coming back. The racing industry needs to learn it's part of the entertainment industry and needs to think of the paying public as customers and start putting them first. You're living in the past Wildman head firmly burried in the sand.

Only you Rocketfingers would not know the difference been a grade 1 and a 0-95 handicap.

Your right i'm the one that would not know the difference, i'm sure you'll believe that as well, espicially as you believe everything someone with a higher intelect tells you. Answer the question in regards to as why Carlise covered and Navan did not please ? What is the cost of this? You seem to know or at least prentending to know. ;)

A child would work it out.Navan is losing money ,the golf course is bringing it down but maybe some of your Asian clients might like to invest.
Report Rocketfingers December 18, 2011 8:38 PM GMT
And thanks for proving my point, they will keep losing it until they change. Thank you Wildclown Laugh

I have kept my replies short and simple and you still can`t grasp it.Navan is losing money because of the golf course, the racecourse is in profit but the golf is losing double what the racecourse is making.
Report Rocketfingers December 18, 2011 9:23 PM GMT
They'll continue to lose money until they do what i say. They must be treating the golfers like their racegoers !

You're not very bright Wildclown Laugh

Not to cause any tension from any previous posters but Carlisle did not have any Chases they were all hurdles and a bumper. Which is also what happened at Navan.
