If you want to avoid a commute stay in Naas (about 3 miles from the course),if you don't mind the 25 mile commute  from Dublin you'll have more options regarding bars etc by staying there.

There's good craic in Naas but so much smaller of a place.

The Osprey in the town is a great hotel to stay in. Google it. I am not sure what you will pay during race week.
Late bar licence all week. Stalls in the main street.
Haydens is a bar I like and it is on the Main St.
Plenty of buses from Naas to Punchestown. I think it is a fiver out there.

Thanks lads for the replies.Soapp I checked out the Osprey but there is limited availability and pretty expensive to boot.Looking at the City west at the moment as rates quite decent but if anybody else has any alternatives Id be glad to hear them. Thanks again.
