Why do you think Lyon are cheating barstewards
Zagreb lost 4-0 to Ajax 2 games ago and 6-2 to Madrid in the last game (2 Zagreb goals scored with 10 mins to go) The form was there IMO dutching the 2 Manchester clubs @ ~ 3/1 is a half-decent bet. I can see at least one of them going all the way to the final. Manchester United would actually become a member of an elite group of clubs to have won all 3 European club competitions (Juventus, Ajax, & Bayern Munich being the others) if they were to win it as it is the only trophy the club has never won (ie - old UEFA Cup) |

I would gladly take on both Manchester clubs, United won't want to be there and City will be sending out the second string better value further down.

Big comedown for Man U playing in the second division effectively . Not sure they would want to have a UEFA trophy in their cupboard given the other more prestigious trophies they have been used to once in a while .

Hard to believe that either Manchester team won't attempt to win this.
City are probably a better bet than Utd though as a European trophy (even the Europa League) could be enough to get a 12-month stay-of-execution for Mancini in the event that they don't win the league while Fergie loves winning trophies when it comes to the business end of the competitions and, with City looking dominant in the league at present, it's still a major trophy in the cabinet. Sure it's a come down from the CL but they play their kids in the Carling Cup until the semi-final stage and then once they get the smell of a trophy the full team comes out In 2009/10, the 1/4 final team to play Spurs was Kuszczak, Neville, Brown, Vidic, De Laet, Anderson (Tosic 82), Park, Gibson, Berbatov (Macheda 62), Welbeck, Obertan (Carrick 62) In the semi against Man City the team was now 1st leg - Van der Sar, Evra, Brown, Rafael (Diouf 90), Evans, Anderson (Owen 72), Giggs, Carrick, Fletcher, Valencia (Scholes 88), Rooney 2nd leg - Van der Sar, Evra, Ferdinand, Rafael Da Silva (Brown 74), Evans, Giggs, Carrick, Nani (Valencia 90), Scholes, Fletcher, Rooney And in the final against Villa Kuszczak, Evra, Vidic, Rafael (Neville 66), Evans, Park Ji-Sung (Gibson 85), Carrick, Fletcher, Valencia, Owen (Rooney 42), Berbatov Admittedly the final team is arguably weaker then the semi teams, probably due to the opposition and the willingness to beat City as opposed to winning the trophy as such Team for the final is still a good bit stronger than the 1/4 final team against Spurs though with no sign of De Lait, Welbeck, Anderson, or Obertan |

Agree with db, Man U may play a second string from time to time in this to try to close the gap on city in the league
Think City will be gunning to win this as they will be judged on trophies won at the end of the season City 6/1 - think they will play a fairly strong team in this, and even when they rest a few big names they have plenty of quality to bring in, in all positions. Something which Man Utd dont have Stoke 33/1 - have a style of play which could cause problems for most teams in this Metalist Kharkiv @ 70 - been a decent looking side in the group stages and the Ukranians are already qualified for the next round Thats my lot, gl ![]() |

Nope.

Rubin Kazan another value punt

After the draw, my main fancy Ajax have got the best draw from a punting perspective, Man Utd, and have drifted to 70.0.
Others have shortened. I'll be going in again on Ajax, for good or ill. Good luck to all. |

snorki..athletic club fan here
i did think they'd have a chance earlier in the season....now they are finding it difficult to score recently (without llorente)and also involved and committed to the spanish cup. Goalkeeper also in very poor form and the team not really consolidated yet with Bielsa. The new style of (passing football) is not something the players are used to and confident and comfortable with. also being the youngest team (average age 24 and a bit) in the liga they lack real experience and maturity which is key to winning a big one like this. Young internationals like Munuain, Llorente, Lopez, Herrera, Martinez make for a nice team for the coming years for sure. I'd like to think so but 25/1 represents no value imo |
