No scarcity of runners huge fields in the first 6 races ......how safe is that ? imho Clonmel is narrow enough ould track uphill+ downhill so plenty reasons why their could be carnage, but lets hope not ...........Not enough mid-wk fixtures.......
12.35pm Juvenile Hurdle; The ones that have run all look beatable unless finding plenty of improvement ,all the top stables are represented incl. Meade, Mullins and Elliott, and Shark Hanlon has a John Oxx Aga Khan purchase so intersting  these type of races with Limerick at Christmas in mind......O'Grady has a good looking prospest in the McManus owned Tobair na Gaoise (as Bearla "well of wisdom") and is one to watch........btw Shark has one in the 12.30 at Huntingdon aka Rudigreen with BJ Geraghty up.....Blackstairs looks the one to beat inthe Beginners  Chase and maybe O Grady's in the Bumper..... also note another in Taunton 2.20pm and R Johnson is down to ride for Dr.Newland "Carrickmines' and a terrible looking race but Johnstons agent must fancy this big time to be puttin Dickie on it with all the big races coming up due to go up ten pounds soon so very well in  poor  race... nb a 9yr old though .....................good luck any one punting today.............

Can't believe they're racing today with the overnight weather.Could be a very trappy day with the amount of runners on that ground.

13.05 Chasing Shadows E/W ran a nice race on its jumps debut and is about 8/1.

Only 2 bets for me - put in a few ir lays on Blackstairmountain at 1.1 downwards

1.35 Gortnagros at 25/1 ew - ran no sort of race at Limk lto wen a well fancied 7/1 shot, has been dropped a further 7lbs in the handicap - has won a bumper on heavy ground - culd run a much better race than the price suggests

Small ew on Jacks island 3.05 at 13/2, horse looks hard work but to be fair stayed on well enough in his last 2 hurdle races, ground might help and in a poor race I,d be disappointed if not in the places.

Thought Alee Garde did it well,I thought its jumping was really good compared to everything else in the race.

Good shout.

A few pointers

1) Maybe it's just me but I never realised that the max fields for Chases and hurdles depends on the experience of the horses till today. Max hurdle fields 18 or 15. Max Chase fields 18 or 15 too.

2) Great to see Dessie Hughes off the cold list.

3) Ruby relentlessly cutting into Davy's lead.
