just been looking at the odds on the pp website,a couple which i like are wes hoolahan @ 5/2 and marc wilson @ 7/1.trap has said that players will be given an opportunity to impress in the upcoming friendlys.wilson should be brought as he is a regular at stoke and has been very solid with them and can play anywhere across the back 4 and in midfield and wes has a bit of creativity which we seriously lack, would be a great option to come off the bench with 20 min to go.
Hoolahan at 5/2? Not sure bout that, andy keogh is same price & probably has more chance to go. Remember doesnt seem a priority to trapattoni what level these guys play at. 7s on Wilson isn't bad, has a chance if they go with just 4 strikers & bring an extra defender, which is quite possible. Still think it'll be 5 strikers with 1 of long/walters/keogh missing out. Fear for long myself

Can't see Hoolahan getting a look in. Would need one of Duff or McGeady to miss out with injury I would think. Kevin Foley might be the value at 11/4. Trap has trusted him at right back v Macedonia and he can also play in midfield. He's been around the squad for a few years now so he's going to be well use to Trap's system. A possible replacement for Whelan or Andrews too-I would even say he's passed out Gibson at this stage. Looking at Zubar today he'll have no problem walking back into the team when he returns from injury.

Wes has one cap - a brief "cam-e-o" against Columbia in May 2008, if memory serves.
Giving him a 28% chance of making the squad is one hell of a soft lay for PP...
He deserves huge credit for his meteoric rise through three leagues of professional football in England; on the back of some stand-out performances for Shels [vs. Depor at Landsdowne in August 2004, in particular]
