Good racing up in Navan today have good memories of Navan having been a regular there quite a few years ago.....the late Peter McCreery had a good record around ther and was always dangerous in the bumpers, with Ted or for later a Mr. T O Callaghan from Mallow I think... oh had many a good time there ..........for today Texas Jack is my nap .....against Mount Benbulben .......two and a half miles might give the edge to Noel Meades as MB may not have enough speed to deal with Texas...Rebel has his chance with Ruby though he must give 3lbs to all .....in Noel Meade's stable tour he says "Texas has bundles of ability" word of caution offered by Noel "needs time betwen his races" .....well he's had 33 days since he played with Make a Track last time out ........

Noel in the Racing Post is concerned about going lefthanded.... and while taking keen leaders point re bridle on board isn't it always in England that Noels are found out ?

Jaysus how can you say every horse a trainer runs is a bridle horsePlain

Think its more to do with the jockey's riding style.

I wouldn,t lay him either DAS beat a one paced thing last time(Bit dodgy going around the last two bends imo) time before head and ears i,d question slightly on run in,looks as if he might have a few quirks,I could be completely wrong it was the impression i got looking at the vids.

The "Second Coming" came of age there today and had to show his mettle,Condon got as tough as I've ever seen him on anything there between the final 2 flights, great run and ride by Ruby on Rebel Fitz giving them the weight,I love to see a good horse quicken again like that against top opposition.

Sound lads, back to reality with sup. car. Thought it was going well enough 2 out, Mullins went inside them out, never went for her, horse put its ears back.Hasn,t been showing the turn of foot she did at Listowel lately. Don,t know what to make of her after that.

Well done winners ......Mount Ben was very impressive hope they dont over race him as he is some prospect for the bigger obstacles....well done all who said Texas was a bridle horse typical of noels never in the hunt and found nought.....back to reality there....always guessing when PC wins on the snaff..... great racing and then the big game Man C v Pool was exhausting just watching it Grin

To be fair to Texas Jack, I think Ruby make an ape of most of the other riders. He set a very controlled pace and it was always going to be hard for those patiently ridden ones to get into it. Also, Carberry reported that Texas Jack felt flat on the way to the start and jumped out to his right.

OK paddyw thanks for that will be giving him a swerve in any event I was of the opinion that Meade was rating him up beside Sword of Destiny and was attacking 2day with his best one
