I see the GAA boys don't like threads like this. They NEVER seem to post on these threads. I wonder why?? This association has gone to the dogs. This is the norm now every other month at GAA games.

An absolute disgrace.
Only last week the St. Mary's Club Rasharkin, Co. Antrim were 'handed down some of its stiffest ever sanctions'. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-northern-ireland-15666722 Credit to the chiefs in Antrim GAA, absolute thuggery all got what they deserved. Hopefully Tyrone County Board and so on take a leaf out of the Saffron book. There has been countless cases over the last number of years at all levels in the games, underage etc. one of the latest been in Wicklow. Investigations into the incidents in Dunmoyle commenced today, the Tyrone CCC are reviewing the match report in full from the referee and review video evidence. I was at an U16 football game September last year, been a staunch follower I attend alot of matches, nearly every weekend but boy I never seen such incidents at this particular game. One team had a foreign young lad playing for them who was racially abused, absolutely horrific the things that were said to him, sickening. What made it more sad was it came from the gabs of opposing mentors. The player may have been too committed in a challenge but my god it was disgusting. Another game.. during the summer I was at a minor blitz involving clubs from various counties. A referee in his 20's was physically assaulted by a goalkeeper at the end of a game. This kind of behaviour happens every weekend across the country, until these thugs are arrested and jailed for several years this will continue to go on. Hopefully Antrim County Board have set a standard. |

Heard one of the supporters at the tyrone league final had his ear bitten off and underwent surgery to have it put back on.
The losing team in the Tyrone championship final were fighting between themselves the night of that game and when an ambulance arrived one of the medics got pole axed... Some carry on. |
