Metro North is heading to Broombridge. I live within a small distance of the area and can confirm to any politician what a complete 5hithole it is. So bad that locals like nothing better than racing motor cycles up and down the rail platform, setting fire to it and robbing the ticket machines (So often, anyone using the station has to buy the ticket at the destination station) and even loot from an armed robbery on the grounds of the station, with Gardai combing the area leading to temp closure of the station.
Metro North is the biggest waste of tax payers money since Charvet shirts. It is basically a housewives way of getting the shopping home with little or no economic benefit to an area that should be nuked |

I despair of our politicians.
Clare thinks there is an infinite supply of money and that all of it should be spent in her constituency. Meanwhile Sean Kelly MEP was interviewed on the six o'clock news and his accent was so impenetrable that at one stage he had to start spelling out words so that Brian Dobson (and the rest of us) could follow him. This country is truly fcked. |

Even if a small number of individuals (Who live here) still had "Wealth", it is as sure as anything not situated in this country, and the idea as peddled by Daly, that it (If it was) would be enough if taxed to pay for something like Metro North just shows how clueless she is. Clare Daly is a bit of a street fighter Oh shes that alright... though like most socialists in Ireland she embarassed herself by lack of facts last night. The other guy nearly fell of the chair when she mentioned how a cost benefit analysis is on the RPA website, which it most certainly is NOT. Complete spoofer who is playing up to her constituents. Lectures for years on how tax payers money is being wasted and then back this  |
