Think 4/1 Ansaab a good price for this race, has run in a couple of hot maidens in his last two races.Steping back up to 10f on this sounder surface should suit and he seems to travel sweetly through his races if maybe a little weak at the finish. His man rival Ariyfa is respected on her only start to date and connections will be keen to win a race with such a well bred type but the form of that race as yet has not worked out.Sloane Street is well exposed and the Bolger filly an unknown quantity.Evas Dream has been dissapointing but may also improve for sounder surface.

6.00 Feathers And Bows may lack the speed for a 5f race but could be worth taking a chance on. She has the perfect draw in stall 1 and on breeding should love the switch to sand. She is by Street Cry and is a full sister to this year’s UAE 2000 Guineas winner Splash Point, who won his maiden as a 2yo in October last year over 7f on Kempton’s all-weather. She was in 2nd place behind Maybe at the furlong pole on her debut in a 6f Naas maiden before fading late on to finish 5th. She never really got a run in a muddling 6f Curragh maiden next time. She was prominent for the first 4½ furlongs in a 6f listed race next time before fading in the final 300 yards. On her last start she was upped to 7f in a Gowran nursery, racing off 77. She once again broke well and was settled just behind the leaders. She didn’t see much daylight but looked to be travelling well in behind the leaders passing the 2 furlong pole but she failed to really push through in the final furlong, finishing 6th. Her pedigree does suggest 7f to a mile would be more suitable but she has shown early speed in her 4 runs to date over 6 and 7 furlongs, so it's not inconceivable she could win this from the front if breaking well. She has never been to the front straight away but you’d assume this will be the tactics from stall 1. The Aidan O’Brien trained Wave looks on form the one to beat but from stall 12 over 5f I wouldn’t be keen to back her. Red Avis is also respected but stall 14 is big negative. 14/1
6.30 Danick Of Time is by Iffraaj who gained all his wins over 6 or 7 furlongs. He is a half-brother to 5 winners, all of whom won their maidens over 5 or 6 furlongs. He has run twice already, both over 7 furlongs, and I think the drop back to 6f will suit today. He ran well for a long way on debut in a 7f Cork maiden, tracking leaders before fading over a furlong out to finish 5th. The first 4 all had previous experience and form of the race looks good as the winner won a handicap off 85 next time. The 3rd gained 2 wins and 3 places from 5 runs since and the 4th won next time out also. He still looked a touch green on his second run in a Gowran maiden, staying on to finish a close enough 5th, well clear of the 6th. Form of the race looks fair as winner was placed off 78 next time and the 3rd won both starts since. Glor Na Mara finished 1½ lengths ahead of him that day and reopposes but Danick Of Time has scope to improve past that rival. His pedigree suggests all weather surface should suit okay, half sister Maid In Heaven was placed in a listed race on Polytrack and half brother Wathiq had a win and a 2nd from 2 runs on sand. Danick Of Time has plum draw in stall 1 and Mick Halford won this race in 2009 and might have won it with Nidian last year had he settled. 5/1
7.55 Karjera is a nicely bred full sister to Lock And Key, runner-up in 4 group 3’s and also a full sister to Aldanti, a listed winner. She is also a full sister to Unlock won her maiden over 7f at Galway and was rated 85. Karjera is having her handicap debut in this mile event and considering her pedigree, she really ought to be better than her mark of 65, though on the evidence of her 5 runs that may not be the case. She put in solid efforts on her first 2 runs, both in good quality 7f maidens. She was held up in rear on her third start in a 7f Leop race and she stayed on well to take 4th, beaten 5 lengths by Sunset Beauty (a subsequent winner off 85). She was only a half length behind the 3rd Kate Greenaway on level weights and Kate Greenaway won a Leop handicap off 71 next time. The 5th Smoky Cloud won 2 of his next 5 starts off marks of 67 and 72. She got absolutely no luck inside the final 2 furlongs on her first try here on the all weather, twice getting cut off on her run before staying on well for 4th in a 6f fillies maiden. She didn’t appear suited by 5f on soft last time when 7th of 21 in a Navan maiden but the return to Dundalk and the step up to a mile could be much more to her liking. She does look well enough in off 65 and Eddie Lynam won this race in 2009 and almost pulled a gamble off with Petit Chou last year (also raced off 65) but was headed late on. 8/1
