Good morning,
Just the one for me today, Nora,s Fancy 3.15 Obvious chance, scooted away from great oak at Galway heavy, taking the form literally, great oak was beaten a nose by ravensbury, who has finished 1 1/2lenghts behind hidden cyclone. On paper seems fair form. Anyway a much improved run from Nora at Gal.and hoping its not a one off. Good luck if having a bet today. |

2.15 A Little Swifter E/W
2.45 Mississippi River 3.45 Datokepe E/W 4.15 On The Way Out. |

In the 4.15 if River Liane was to show a return to form that he showed 2 years ago he could be a solid e/w bet at 10s.He raced in some high class company then.Tommy Coopers horses are usually fairly fit first time out too so he should be able to run a decent race providing he returns the same horse from his injury.

your allright bigwilly i always associate Thursdays with Thurles myself
![]() It s ironic really , when we get flooding in Ireland usually Clonmel is one of the worst spots to get hit so in a week of bucket loads of rain clonmel has soft on the hurles and yielding to soft on the chase ![]() ![]() ...I m caught between a rock and a hard place in the second race . Straight match between Mickleson and Missisppi River . I fancied the arse off Missisippi River the last day in Punchestown after its very encouraging debut over hurdles behind Rebel Fitz , but it jumped desperate again never getting into the race . Mickleson was also seriously well backed when just touched off in its comeback run in a bumper and with Meade/carberry in good form he must go close .But i m going to give Missisippi River another chance to try get his jumping sorted .He actually jumped worse the last day at punchestown than he did over course and distance the first day where he was still novicey but would imo beaten rebel fitz if he jumped better and he s a real good yardstick ...... If he can i think he ll win so going to chance him at 15/8. On The Way Out was a frustrating sort over hurdles but he couldn t have been anymore impressive on his first start over fences a few weeks ago when barely coming off the bridle slamming Stonemaster at Punchestown . I m hoping Byrnes Knockfierna mighn t be " Off" .... So fancy On The Way Out in a big way at 2/1 . He also dead heated on his only other run at the track in a listed hurdle. I also take note that the O Hare might be going for an each way gamble double AGAIN with Sweet Shock in the handicap hurdle 10 s into 6s and the first time out Mr Bolt in the bumper 10 s into 11/2 ![]() |

3.15 back to lay spring wine..ran 4 times at clonmel finishing 4,3,3,5... all over soft or heavy and all racing prominently until finding a few too good... rothwell in much better form so potentially well handicapped

Mick you missed out Mary Pat in the opener 16's into 8's off a 4 1/2 year lay off.
Might be a touch optimistic but I hope she's better than Sammy Pat the yard. |

That Mississippi River is some pig,it wouldn't look at any of its hurdles all the way round and was very chancey over the first few,it needs blinkers and a longer trip I think, how low did it trade lads?
|
|
By:
Dire from Townend. He should have made sure between the last two flights with a couple of backhanders. Weak as water.
|
|
By:
1.12 missisipi some mutt alrite
|
|
By:
That was unusual from Townend as his body language to me had him looking afraid at some of the flights.

Thanks lads,
Noooora is a grand girl ![]() |

Thanks dave,I'm a huge fan of Townend but he could have been a bit more positive on M R although the horse wasn't exactly enthusiastic when asked for his late effort.

just saw the races now ......thought i was going to collect on my two bets turning in ......Mississipi looked like he could have done with a bit of a Danny Mullins on Cairdin yesterday drive all right ..... Although he s a difficult ride in fairness and he s might be one to avoid in future ...Thats twice i have been burnt on him
.....Unfortunetly on the way out had to come off the bridle today and didn t find a whole lot .... good race though well done to Kagagh and Norn for tipping him up Great tipping with Nora s fancy lapsy and i see McIlroy shot -8 for you in Shanghi ... hopefully he goes through with it now ..Placeditis for you too Punchestown ....we ll get them at the weekend ![]() |

Nice price places there in fairness Norn,on a tricky card.
Just watched the later ones there, blunder at the last cost you 3rd with River Liane,The Jigger promising return for him though. Dinglemick Mcilroy flying, backed him at 5,s drifted out to 6,s so went in again on the strenght of the horses yesterday.Bizarrely when everyone finished this morning there was plenty 3.5/3.6 available for a good 1/2 hour after on both exchanges. a shot clear of hunter with 3 back to 3 others have to fancy him now. |
