I was jumping around my living room, what does that make me? Not a fan of Delaney i think his salary is a disgrace but i think we need to cut him a break here. The FAI finacially are in bad shape so they need to qualify for this. I would be amazed if any Irish fan was not delighted with this draw and let's face it all seeeded teams wanted one side and that was Estonia and i believe Estonian manager was delighted to get us and we all can see why. Ffs some people are blaiming the economy on the man Laugh

Gotta agree with the rocketman-theres a national obsession with picking holes in anyone in a position of authority. Delaney like many others has made many errors but he has done plenty good too-cut the man some slack. As I've said a million times before on here we would all be better served getting behind the team instead of whinging and finding fault in every little detail. Bet everyone of ye will be flag waving in your local next summer if we get there!
C'mon Ireland!!

he makes john major look charismatic
he is everything thats wrong with irish football, amatuerish in the extreme.
on seeing that i hope the estonians knock us the fook out.
until these d1ckheads at the top of the FAI are gone nothings gonna change.
players flying economy class,FAI officials business class ffs, colouring numbers on the back of jersey's
during a international qualifier, suppose he thought that was funning aswell.
all about the gravy train with these kooonts, take take take.

Can't stand Delaney either.

Throwing his tie into the crowd in Moscow as if he was some sort of hero now laughing at the prospect of playing Estonia!!! Horrible individual.

Ireland make a big deal about playing the smallest and weakest of countries so I don't think they are going to blitz Estonia like Delaney seems to think they will!!

He's paid more than everyone in Estonia put together.

Why wouldn't he laugh at them?

what do you expect him to do ffs ?  the draw was kind and he laughed/smiled call it what you want  - no harm done anyone in that situation considering what went on in the past would react the same way

oh he's also laughing all thw way to the bankBlush
(not sure how he is still in job by the way)

I very much doubt he was laughing at Estonia, they probably had a bet among themselves and Delaney won or something like that. He will appreciate how ordinary the Irish team is.

If the camera had panned to the "Estonian" John Delaney  when our name was pulled out it would have found him rolling round the floor in hysterics imo.

i met the guy at an awards ceremony a few years ago.i found him sincere and he made a lovely speech to all the young people there..so what if he laughed?id say as said above it wasnt because we got estonia..must have been a joke among the people he was with..

John Delaney once sold me my ticket at the ticket booth to a Waterford Utd v Longford FAI Cup semi Final. He was very sincere and friendly in his dealings with me, give the man a break.  If he ran for president, he'd be second in the polls behind Michael D Higgins.  He threw his tie into the crowd for a laugh, if he was too serious and never mixed with the fans he'd be criticised also. He offered to contribute his own cash towards Sligo upgrading their ground for the Europa League a few months back, yet some people probably took offence to that also.

i think common sense is starting to creep in....delaney not everyones cup of tea ....but surely him laughing as the draw is announced , is not worth the bashing he has received on here...
