Best we could have hoped for in fairness.

If we were to pick it ourselves we could not have done a better job.

Did you see the guys face when he touched the 2 steaming hot balls Ireland and estonia were in
By:
ire 2.85 away to estonia with bwin too big
By:
Great Draw!
. Are we away for the first leg? |
By:
I couldn't back Ireland to win away to anyone
Estonia's 5 home games in the qualifiers were Estonia 2-1 Faroe Islands Estonia 1-2 Italy Estonia 4-1 Northern Ireland Estonia 1-1 Serbia Estonia 0-1 Slovenia That's not a bad record. |
By:
UEFA marked the Irish and Estonia balls because they were terrified if Ireland got anyone else bar Estonia the whole nation would be screaming the draw was fixed so they fixed it for Ireland instead.
By:
Ireland away 1st leg home for 2nd...couldnt have hoped for better.expect ireland to score away.do away goals count as 2 if its a draw...i presume so
By:
You're always screaming about something greaser.

It was said with a bit of tongue in cheek zipi
By:
I presume we will without Kevin Doyle for at least one of the legs, if not both
By:
Armenia filed complaint against Ref and want a replay ... where are your sporting Armenians now Greaser [:p]
By:
Damien Richardson said that it would be better if Ireland hadn't been seeded as we play better against the good sides. Wonder if he punts on Betfair ?
By:
Well it seems zipi we spawned a monster then?
By:
i had to laugh when i saw on telly John Delaneys smug head laughing when we got Estonia .....Sorry john but guess who else were delighted with the draw ESTONIA .......you d swear we were spain ..... Now I know feck all about soccer but take given and dunne out of the irish team and it would be touch and go between Ireland and Shamrock Rovers to win the league of ireland ( sorry workrider ) ..How he can leave talented irishmen like seamus coleman at home and pick garden knomes like glen whelan is beyond me ........
We defo got the best draw allright but the tie has got penalty shoot out written all over it |

You're doing a fair impression of a 'whinging chainsaw' yourself in fairness Greaseball.

By:
dinglemick,Trapp won't go the games to watch "new" talent coming through,he has fixed ideas about players and will never ever think of a change,as I said on another thread Whelan would have to be either hospitalised or suspended for Trapp to drop him.
Kevin Kilbane has been a great player for us but should be retired from the National squad and has no business being in the starting 11 which he would be in only for injury. In Trapps mind Coleman is a right back and he doesn't have a spot for one of those. Wes Houlihan remids Trapp of Andy Reid so he'll never get a call ![]() |
By:
Yes you could not ask for a better draw. We got the draw we wanted and Estonia are saying same. We were probably given Estonia just to make up for the Hand of Henry in Paris. A fella at work was saying this all f**king day yesterday ''they'll give us the Estonians just to make up for it'', 11/4 he got on it.
By:
if we can't beat Estonia there's no hope for us.
By:
after we win in estonia i think we'll be j/favs for the competion....

By:
I'm very confident of a an away/home win! Sure we beat them well in the Eurovision this year-Every reason to be confident!!
Polska here we come!! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KABUQxllGbk&feature=results_video&playnext=1&list=PL90DF5D82F66C597E |

If we can't beat Estonia we don't deserve to be there. I think we'll win and go thru in front our our own fans in the Aviva. I am going to go with that this will be the best sporting atmosphere ever seen in Ireland as the Aviva is a proper cauldron of a stadium and seems to hold all the noise is which is quite impressive.
By:
Best sporting atmosphere?
The stadium will be over half full of "supporters" that have not turned up at any of the qualifiers, but will jump on the bandwagon now. |
By:
There was a great atmosphere there the last night, and there was 45,000 fans at it, so if you hang on to your ticket you're guaranteed a ticket for the Estonia match. So that will ensure against that thankfully
![]() Good to see the FAI looking after the hardcore first ! |
By:
How does that work Rocket? Will they contact you ?

was over in estonia this year watching the mighty rovers playing, great play for a few drinks and molloy malones is a great pub,the owners a guy from tallaght didnt rip us off,and after the game he came into the pub and told us the pub wont be closed, the national ground is just outside the city walking distance or short trip in a taxi,so if anyone thinking off going over they will have a great time, and the local women are out off this world aswell[;)]

By:
Away goals wont count, hopefully Ireland will secure a draw away and finish the job at home.
