Can someone help me out with this. Last night, when game was 0-2 up, at around the 28 min mark, VC had asian handicap market in running. I saw they had -2 at 2.150, i backed that then five mins later backed them -1.5,-2 for same stake at 2.250. As you all know, finished 0-2 so I thought first bet would be money back and half of second bet would be winner and other half money back. Went down as a loser so I emailed and they have since replied to say 'These bets were "In Running" Split Asian Handicap bets. As per the rules of this type of bet:

All bets on the Asian Handicap in-running market are settled according to the scoreline for the remainder of the game after the bet has been struck. For example, any goals prior to the bet being placed are ignored for settlement purposes.'

I find this very confusing and misleading, it didn't state this at all and when I was looking at the odds I glanced over it several times to make sure there would be no little drawbacks like what had happened.

Can someone let me know if they have had similar fortunes..

Just re-read their rules regarding in-running asian handicaps, oh my :( Lesson learned, always read the rule books for each specific firm.

Prob the only firm to do this as well. I always saw they were giving very nice in running asian handicap markets, now I know why..

Never knew books did this - seems an odd one to offer a Handicap, not from the score it starts(0-0) but from the score at the time u place the bet!

Think Bet365 do it as well. Nearly caught me a couple of times. But the old adage, if it looks too good to be true............

Yes as I said it is very misleading, got a bit too smart for my own good.

Bet365 are the same but a box pops up clearly stating the rules when you try to place a bet.
