Whatever about who is innocent and who is guilty, it is not really the place to be discussing it?
A thread about the case, discussed by forumites on here, who are likely to be in possession of very few of the actual facts, other than what they have read or heard via other media, does not seem to be appropriate.

Fair enough but it's all over the media Temlett, kinda hard to get away from it at the moment. And as it is a major news story i thought there would be people with views on it in here.

They've got a bloke doing life for it (well, it would be called life in the UK). The whole thing is very confusing. Foxy was obviously pretty misleading when she made her statements to the polis but she didn't speak good Italian then, and she had no solicitor present. My own daughter is nearly 20 and I know she'd be confused in the same circumstances. In fact, even an experienced adult would find it hard to cope.

Temlett- surely if people did not discuss information they had gleaned from the media on discussion boards, there would be no discussion boards? Or discussion anywhere?

they actually have a guy locked up for it which is strange to say the least..when it happened she just went down with her boyfriend to the police station to have him interogated and ended up getting charged herself..

What I'm getting from the wires is that the police messed up the evidence -a team of two forensic scientists reported about 50 elementary errors and unprofessional actions . I've detected from cases over the years that police are very hit and miss with evidence gathering and they appear to be particularly slipshod if the victim is a foreigner...perhaps the de Plantier case is an example too. is it just coincidence that the black guy gets the rap and the nice white middle-class kids get off ? What was the motive for this Rudy guy anyway ? Mind you the two whites have done 4 years so they've paid some price . I just hope they don't make money from selling their story -but I fear they inevitably will.

vubiant, that black guy takes the rap ...white middle class kids get off ...is now so out of date ....like a lot of irish ..maybe its because we see ourselves as the blacks of the world ..as was said in the commitments ....that we feel the black guy is always the victim...i try and keep an open mind myself on such issues...
