The recent heavy downpours have caused the ground to ease at Tipperary ahead of their 'super sunday' meeting tomorrow.

Manager Nessa Joyce reported today that the ground was now soft, heavy in places on the Flat course – a notable change from the yielding description at declaration.

The National Hunt track was good, yielding in places on Friday morning but is now described as yielding, soft in places.

TRA has won a Bumper over 2ml 4f on fast ground an ran really well over a similar trip on easier ground over hurdles, could still be a good e/w bet and owes me a few quid at this stage CryDevil

Recent quotes from the honourable Edward...

After race at Wexford Fri, 19th Aug, 2011 (1st) I'm delighted he won a flat race. He'll probably go for a handicap hurdle at Listowel next but that depends on the ground. It's nice to have another option on the flat. E J O'Grady
After race at Down Royal Fri, 17th Jun, 2011 (1st) I have to thank the racecourse farrier as he travelled up badly and tore a shoe off. He did a great job with polyfilla!,. He did it nicely on ground that's softer than he wants. He'll go chasing in the autumn but could go to Galway for a hurdle, even though that might not be his track. E J O'Grady

Down Royal ground was good to yielding

TIPPERARY'S mixed card on Sunday will take place, as the course passed its inspection scheduled for 7.30am.

The inspection was due to the threat of further rain on softened ground, and while the track did receive 5mm overnight, both Flat and jumps tracks are pefectly raceable.

Conditions on the Flat are described as heavy, while on the jumps track the going is soft. The action starts at 2.00.
